hey y’all I have some brand new outdoor Dollar Tree DIYs I know you’re going to [Music] love right now Dollar Tree has this gorgeous blue and white dinner wear right there when you walk in the door it reminds me so much of the gorgeous Fine China with the blue and white patterns you’re going to grab one of the coffee mugs and one of the small small saers and these are simply gorgeous you’re also going to need two tumbling Tower pieces to keep your coffee mug from rolling around on the saucer and a permanent glue I’m using E6000 first you want to set your coffee mug with the handle up and see exactly where it touches the saucer I decided to place mine where the white was so I could have most of the pattern of the saucer showing place a very generous amount of your permanent glue onto the coffee mug where it will meet the saucer set that in between your two tumbling Tower pieces those again are going to keep your coffee mug from rolling around and then take some painters tape and place it on the inside of your mug and tape it down to the saucer to help get that permanent glue to seal to the saucer I also added a full bottle of paint inside of the mug just to give it a little bit of weight and help push it down so that glue would seal I let mine set overnight and then you can remove your paint bottle as well as the painters tape make sure to clean everything really thoroughly because we are going to be placing some bird seed on this but this is how it should be looking to hang mine up I’m going to use an S Hook from Dollar Tree and simply place that into the handle of the mug and hang this outside what a beautiful bird feeder for just $2.50 [Music] for this project you’ll need one of Dollar Tree’s glass Bud vases this one measures 2.56 in by 9.17 in and that’s the barcode if you need it once you remove the label go ahead and give it a really good cleaning to make sure it is free of any dust or debris also make sure that is Thoroughly dry we’re going to be using one of Dollar Tree’s scalloped plastic bowls you can find this in their party section make sure to give it a thorough cleaning and dry as well you’ll need a disposable Bowl some Mod Podge just depending on what Sheen you want want I’m using a matte and you’ll need some food coloring pick the color of your choice and depending on how dark you want your piece to be would be how much food coloring you add I want mine to have a darker tint so I added a very generous amount of the blue food coloring and I’m also using some disposable gloves just to make sure I don’t get that food coloring on my skin blend it very thoroughly together and then I’m applying this to the outside of the glass face you could apply this to the inside however sometimes Mod Podge will Clump up so I chose to do this on the outside so it would be easier for me to remove those clumps and then go over it with the brush again if you choose to do it on the inside you would want to make yours a little bit thinner so you’ll be able to pour that on the inside and then pour the Mod Podge out and let it drain I set that to the side and I’m going to let it dry and I’m applying a coat to the inside of that plastic bowl once that’s finished I will set it to the side and let it dry and depending on how dark you want it to be as to how many coats you’ll need to add I took the remaining Mod Podge that’s in my disposable bowl and put that in the refrigerator so that it wouldn’t dry out this is how it looks after the first coat has completely dried and see that Mod Podge did not dry out by placing it in the refrigerator I made sure to blend it very thoroughly to make sure that the coloring is consistent and instead of applying it with the brush for the second coat I’m going to apply it with a sponge Dabber now this will give you a few air bubbles once it dries but I kind of like the way that looks I like the texture of it so I’m going to apply a very thick layer over this entire vase and set that to the side I let mine dry for maybe 4 hours I want to make sure it was completely dry and I’m going to do the exact same thing to the inside of that plastic Bowl but if you don’t want to have any air bubbles in yours you may want to add that second coat with the [Music] paintbrush this is a closer look at how those air bubbles look but I am perfectly fine with that now there are two different ways that you can do this we are actually making a mushroom so you could take a permanent glue like E6000 or super glue and apply that to the top rim of your vase and then set your bowl upside down and you can use this in your garden or on your patio or in your walkway or you could take some Dollar Tree fairy lights and I’m going to apply this to the inside of the vase just by wrapping it around my finger so it’ll kind of curl up you can place that in there and the wire is pretty thin so you can bend it over then add your glue to the rim place your bowl on top and you have a gorgeous mushroom lamp for your covered porch or patio [Music] for this project you’ll need one of Dollar Tree’s plastic watering Stakes they come in a variety of different colors I chose the blue one I know it looks a little bit purple on screen but it is like a navy blue right where the bottom of the bulb is we’re going to take a pair of tin snips and cut that but you could actually use some really heavyduty sharp Scissors because once I cut that with the tin snips I straightened it up with my scissors I also went over that with some sandpaper just to smooth it out to make sure that it wasn’t really rough now we’re going to take one of Dollar Tree’s glass votive candle holders they come in a pack of four for $125 5 once you clean that and it’s dry you can take it outside and spray paint it I chose to go ahead and paint mine with some white chalk paint and I painted two coats on the outside as well as on the inside I will be using some Baker’s twine this is a navy blue and white you can find these in a pack of three at Dollar Tree pull out a very long Strand and there’s a seam that goes across the watering bulb leave a nice long length at the end and then hot glue the Baker’s twine right along that seam just do this in small sections and you may want to wear like a finger protective cover or use like a silicone spatula thing to be able to press your twine down so you don’t burn your fingers just go along the seam and hot glue it and when you get to the other side leave a nice long strand on that side at least the same length as the Strand that you left when you started so once you’ll have that done you’ll go ahead and you’re going to start on the opposite side and do the exact same thing again you’re going to leave a nice length at the end when you begin and when you get to the other side leave another length so you’ll have four strands of the baker’s twine hanging down then you’re going to go in between each of those sections as straight as you can but we don’t need to leave any more twine at the bottom you can actually just put this flush to the very bottom of the bulb now when you do the second section I did cut a small little piece and created a knot at the bottom to create a loop and I’m going to feed that end of the twine before I glue it down to the opposite side through that Loop so that I’ll be able to hang this up so you just feed it through there put your glue right there at the very top of it and then once you have that in place you can go ahead and glue that other side down and cut it flush at the bottom of the bulb and then you’ll have one more section left to do and again you’ll start at the bottom feed that twine through the loop at the top and then glue it down to the other side and cut it flush at the bottom so we’re making a cute mini hot air balloon and this is going to be some really cute Decor that you could place outside or place on your patio once you have all of your twine in place I like to take a clean dry paintbrush and try to remove as many glue strands as possible and kind of clean up those areas on that water bulb now that the paint has dried on our votive candle I’m going to take that same Baker’s twine and hot glue that right around the rim at the very top and I’m also going to do this around the rim at the very bottom this is optional you don’t have to do it I just thought it would give it a nice added detail this is how it’s looking now you’re going to take your bulb with the four strands and see see how high you want it to set up above your votive and then cut all four strands the exact same length then hot glue one strand at a time to the inside of the votive pushing that end piece all the way to the very bottom of the votive and kind of evenly space them out so you’ll have kind of two in the front and two in the back just be careful when you’re moving it around that you don’t twist and kind of tangle up your Baker’s twine strands and as long as you’ve cut all of your strands the exact same length and you’re placing them at the very bottom of the votive everything will be even when you hold it up I decided to clean that edge Up by hot gluing some Baker’s twine right around the very bottom of that on the outside of the four strands that are hanging down and I also decided to add some Baker’s twine on the inside rim of the votive to give it some extra support for the four strands that are holding that glass votive up make sure to clean all your glue strands up and then I’m going to use a battery operated LED votive candle I would not put a real candle in here just a battery operated one and place that right inside of the votive and you could line your walkway up with these or you could hang it up on your porch or covered patio let me know what you guys think of this cute mini hot air balloon [Music] [Music] for our next project we’re using a Dollar Tree cake pan I’m going to take a fine grit sandpaper and go over all of the places that I want to paint just to scuff that up and help my paint adhere better we’re also going to be using one of Dollar Tree’s faux shiplap signs um they come in a couple of different colors I think they had white brown and black we’re going to flip that over and then set our cake pan on top of that a little bit less than half from the bottom then Trace that bottom portion out with a pencil set this on a cutting board and using a utility knife or a box blade you’ll want to carefully go around your marks that you traced out and just make that indentation you’ll do this maybe five or six times you can actually cut all the way through this board but I was a little bit impatient and decided I was going to try to break mine off but when I did I did break some pieces in the front so I thought okay I’ll just go ahead and clean it up and I’ll use the back side of it and paint it so after I trimmed the rest of that off I used my sandpaper and I sanded around the edges to get it nice and smooth as I was doing that I decided to go ahead and sand the front and I really liked the way it was looking I like that rustic distress look and I think I will be able to use the front of this sign so that was a happy little accident now it’s time to paint our cake pan and I want mine to have a galvanized look so I’m using a brushed silver paint a white paint paint as well as a black paint and a chip brush I’m going to start off with this silver paint and you just want to dab the ends of your chip brush in there and then kind of wipe some of it off and then just pounce this up and down on all of the areas that you want to be painted I’m not going to be painting the bottom portion of this cuz that is where we’re going to put our wood but I am going to paint the inside the rims as well as the outside Rim just because you can see all of those areas once you have your silver paint on there to your desired color let that dry then you’ll come back with your black paint and use the same chip brush and do the exact same thing just pouncing it up and down and if you get it a little too dark you can always kind of dip it back into that silver and blend it out just a little bit more again you’re going to let that dry and then you’ll come back with your white paint and do the exact same thing so once I had all of that covered if there are some areas that were a little bit too dark I would kind of mix some of the three colors together and dab that in those areas again I did that on the outside Rim as well and the key thing is to make sure that each layer of paint or color that you’re adding you let it dry in between before you go to your next color just keep doing that until you achieve the look that you want and this is how mine’s turning out once that paint dries we’re going to add that board to the front of our cake pan and I’m going to do that using a permanent glue here I’m using E6000 and I’m also going to add a little bit of hot glue for that temporary hold line it up with the bottom of your cake pan and this is turning out so cute now I want a hanger for mine so I’m going to use some nautical rope from Dollar Tree I always like to glue the end together to keep it from straying and then I’m going to flip that cake pan over and right where the wood is on the outside that’s where I’m going to line my nautical rope up and glue that to the backside rim of the cake pan now I want the top to be a little bit more narrow so I am going to add a little bit more glue hold that nautical rope in place I’ll be putting some artificial flowers in mine so I’m going to use this floral foam from Dollar Tree comes in a pack of two and they’re 4.8 in I’m going to cut that in half you want something thin enough to fit down in your cake pan and this the two pieces won’t fit but one piece will so I’m just going to glue that to the back side of of the board so it’s going to be looking kind of like this and then to fill mine in I’m going to use some Greenery this is from Hobby Lobby and I’m going to bend that over so that it will just flow in the very front of that board and then I’m going to add about three of those sprs in there off to one side and I’m using some succulents that came from Dollar Tree and also one of these little Greenery pieces that came from Dollar Tree it came in a little container I just kind of pulled that out you could hang this up inside or even hang it up on a covered porch [Music] [Music] I hope you enjoy today’s projects and if you have a favorite let me know in the comments section down below I always love to 1. I have done the bird feeders like that before. My ones are from thifting pot lids, maskn jars and using chicken feeders. You can do also do water dispenser with those items.

  2. I love all of them. You always show us such unique and creative projects. Love them. They look like they would be easy to recreate.

  3. I came across your channel while looking at what YouTube had on its platform. Your projects are all different from anything I’ve seen on any other channel. I will subscribe and see how I like your future and past projects to see if I like them.

  7. I love all of these ideas. I love the bird feeder cup and plate, but my neighbors squirrels would knock it down and break it❤🐿🐦

  8. I WOULD GLUE A PC. OF FELT UNDER THE CUP HANDLE..AND A TWISTY THRU THE HANDLE AND THE HOOK TWIST TOGETHER TO PROTECT FROM THE WIND

  9. These were all so clever! The one that really got my ideas flowing, was the hot air balloon. I’m thinking that maybe the fairy lights used in the mushroom, could be glued around the “balloon” in order to light that up as well?? I’m so glad that you used the food coloring with the mod podge on the glass. I have a scent diffuser that was a gift, but the coloring is too bright for my liking. I still want it to be very translucent, and have been looking into the see-through spray paints. This idea will allow me to not only make the glossy finish matte, but to also make the color I want! Thank you for the inspiration. It is much appreciated!

  10. Never thought about using food colourings to Mod glue! Brilliant idea 💡 Love your mushroom! If I were to put it in the garden l think I would use small gravel to put in the vase to keep the weight down of the mushroom and put the lights around the inside of the mushroom. Love your balloon,so cute 🥰 it would make a lovely gift for for mums and dads who have had babies and to hang up on the ceiling in their bedroom..Good idea with the cake tin and best of all your projects they don’t take long to make, this is my first video of yours and looking forward to watching other projects you make. ❤
