Plant Propagation

Jade prop question, help needed

I need help figuring out where to chop and prop on this jade plant. It is a special plant from a family member who died a few years ago and I want to give a part to my sister and another to my brother. Any ideas??

You can chop literally anywhere. The stem will root anywhere.

Callous the cut end (let it dry for 24 hours) and plant in soil. After another couple days I’d start watering lightly. Once new growth starts, water more regularly.

Assuming you know how to care for it, I won’t go further unless you ask! Hope this helps!

If I’m not mistaken, this one can be propped with just a leaf. Just pop one off and stick the open end in soil; mist the dirt every week or so. Once it starts to shrivel a little you can start watering it. This is how I do – someone might come along to confirm or provide better advice.
