This is a monstera deliciosa prop that has been growing in perlite. I was moving it into a larger jar and noticed that the original piece is rotting.
Can I cut it off? At what point can you separate new growth from a mid-stem cutting? Thanks!

Yes, you can. The roots seem to be attached to the main plant & if the original mid stem is rotting, I would cut it off too.
