Plant Propagation

Questions/help

I got these about a week ago for free, and I’m new to propagating flowers. I’ve been successful with veggies but for one, I don’t remember what these are and two, what am I doing wrong??

Looks like satin pothos, as long as they have a little node (the nubby round part growing out of the stem) in the water, they should start rooting in 3-4 weeks

If you feel the leaf between your fingers does it feel kind of thick and almost “matte” ? If so, I think it might be a scindapsus silver satin. I have a small one that I thought was a pothos until just this week where I learned what it was in a local plant shop. They’re sometimes called satin pothos but not actually pothos! Kind of cool to learn these things as a newish plant mom 🙂
