oh my gosh I purchased 39 different Dalia varieties if you want to see what my Dalia Haul is looking like keep watching this [Music] video hi Garden friends it’s Chris here at gardening at the Simon Getty North welcome and welcome back to my channel I’m so happy to see you so in today’s video I am going going to show you my Dalia haul I had purchased 39 different Dalia varieties and I’m going to go over and show you also pictures um as I go through them and give a little bit of background so let’s get to it and uh I hope you enjoy it first up is a shocks a shu is a 3 and 1/2 Bloom of Coral orange with a collar of soft lavender pink an unusual color combination makes this an eye-catching colorate variety a very heavy Bloomer that grows on a 3 and a2t plant next up is Bahama Mama these 6in color beautiful blooms are a blend of soft banana yellow and mauve pink invoking visions of Island flowers on a tropical vacation nice plant with good foliage on this 4ot plant that will be a beautiful addition to any garden and blooms that can be cut for a gorgeous bouquet to enjoy in your home anytime next up is BlackBerry ice Blackberry ice is a 4ot plant produces loads of blooms with good strong stems for cutting 4 and 1/2 in blooms have a base color of soft pale lavender with a deep purple in the center flower has good holding qualities and will be beautiful with deep tone flowers as an accent next up is cherubino this is a white flower that will go in my moon Garden I love these kind of flowers it’s really it’s kind of like Rosy Wings it’s perfectly formed 4 in white with a white collar around the center plant height is 4T and is very delicate next up is cutie patootie an adorable 3 In Bloom of bright pink are a favorite arranging variety plant is tall at 5T and a very upright grower producing loads of stems for cutting great Garden color D soreni wild Dalia I’m not sure if I’m pronouncing that right soreni Wildflower let me know in the comments below if I’m pronouncing that right this is pretty too this is one of the original dalas that was taken from Mexico to England to hybridize this 4in lavender Bloom on a 4 and 1/2t plant it is also commonly known as the wild Dalia and it kind of does look like a wild flower but it’s very pretty next we have Frozen big and beautiful perfect describes this gorgeous 10in creamy white Bloom plant is strong grower and should exhibit well from the Harvest Moonlight Delia family this is a later Bloomer but well worth the wait 4 and A2 foot plant that will also go in the moon Garden Giggles 3 and 1/2 in Bloom of coral orange with a collar of soft lavender pink an unusual color combination makes this eye-catching colorate variety a very heavy Bloomer that grows on a 3 and 1/2t plant I I like this one too it’s it’s I don’t know it’s just that shape of flower I think is really cool next up is Grandma’s hug this 5 in apricot and gold Blossom each petal is lightly outlined with love and red making it very striking these blooms will give you the warm feeling of Grandma’s arms wrapped tightly around you may she live on forever in this beautiful water lily form of a lush plant at 3 and 1/2 ft tall I did grow this the last couple years but I think my tuber didn’t make it so um some of these I have grown before um but the tuber didn’t look like it was going to survive the winner so I rebot them cuz I really like them so next up is heu h a kuu y o u This Magnificent 12in White Blossom on a sturdy 3 and 1/2t plant a late bloomer but also well worth the weight this is all white very pretty um huge blooms you know like dinner size blooms you know 12 in that’s a pretty big Bloom this one I haven’t grown before is the Holly Hill Black Beauty beautiful 6-in Bloom of black red are an excellent variety for cutting nice contrast when used with almost any floral color Arrangement or garden planting plant height is 4 and A2 fet tall hunka I’ve grown this one before and I know that tuber didn’t look good when I pulled it out but it was a very um a great Bloomer this Orchid type Dalia adds interest and I appeal to any Arrangement these 3-in bright yellow star shaped blooms are a fun Cut Flower and nice in the garden plant gets 3T tall and it’s kind of like the hunk of pink um but the hunk of pink is pink and this was hunka that’s yellow next up I’m a hottie the name says it all 8 in bloom of hot pink that will just glow in your flower bed petals are ruffled and blooms are full with a strong and sturdy plant that grow grows 5 ft tall this variety will be a real showoff in the garden Kelsey dwarf this darling 1in two-tone pink Bloom will cover the compact 12in tall plant so this is something maybe You’ use on a border because it’s definitely a dwarf great for any border or container blooms are early and also need to have old flowers and seed pods removed in order to keep the flowers coming all summer so you’ll definitely want to dead head these next up is lights out this is another kind of Black Dalia that I haven’t grown before this 3 and 1/2 In Bloom of variety black red outstanding Garden plant that grows to 3 and 1/2 F feet tall and has excellent hedge like growth habit produces stem comes long enough for cutting and arranging this one is a staff favorite at Swan Island Magic Moment a heavy blooming variety with a 7in white blossom lightly brushed with lavender an outstanding exhibit variety plant height is 4T tall with small tubers next up is make a wish Let each day be a day you make a wish in your garden enjoy these 3-in pure white star shaped blooms this variety is good for cup flowers growing to a 3ft tall plant one of the very limited Orchid style delas coming from the parent hunka the parent plant is hunka so I did grow this last year um it’s very beautiful and it will be in the moon Garden one cuz it’s all white and it’s a star flower but it’s very pretty next up is Maui bring to mind a beautiful sunset of Maui this gorgeous flower is a 5 in Coral with a bit of yellow down deep in its in the petals excellent cut variety that holds well in Arrangements on a plant height of 4 and 1/2 ft tall beautiful garden plant another one for the moon Garden Midnight Moon a 4in bloom of pristine white blush in a light lavender on the ends of each petal a very nice Cut Flower for arranging very Lush plant of 4T tall with nice foliage an excellent garden and cutting variety and excellent for the moon Garden just because it has Midnight Moon in it I have grown this before um my tuber didn’t make it last year so I didn’t have this flower last year so I had to Reby it this is very pretty Moon struck is the next one an excellent Cut Flower these 3-in blooms are a very delicate shade of soft cream yellow plant is neat and Compact and a 3 and 1/2t tall and produces good stems for cutting an early bloomer it is absolutely loaded with blooms during the season this variety is an Ranger dream in a color that compliments any variety it is arranged with next up Papa’s love a gorgeous pink Bloom with a lavender undertone these 6-in blooms can have a tendency to show smaller lighter colored petals towards the center these fluffy blooms are on a compact sturdy 4ot plant Picasso just as The Talented artist himself would have created Mother Nature has taken her own brush and blessed us with this beauty a three and a half in creamy white Bloom with random burgundy splashed petals this plant is a strong and sturdy grower that stands up nicely at 4 ft this variety May produce solid blooms throughout the season I did grow this one last year Pinelands princess introduced from South Africa these 7in blooms are a pink lavender that blends to a white in the center very full and Lacy flowers grow on a 3 and 1/2 foot plant that has a compact growing habit stunning Garden plant this is a very stunning flower very pretty pink Petticoat beautiful 6-in white blending to Pink on the ends of the petals petals are ruffled and fold back to the stem making this variety that should do well in exhibition very nice Cut Flower with good stems and a 5ft plant great Garden plant with nice foliage pipsqueak this is a cute one 3in colorette bloom of watermelon with a collar of hot pink another colorette that performs well when used in Arrangement grows on a 3 and 1 half foot compact plant that creates a great Garden plant poo Pooh is the 3 and 1/2 in bright orange bloom outline LED with bright yellow the with a yellow collar makes this one hard to miss very prolific Bloomer on a 4 and 1/2t plant incredible Garden color and holds well as a cut flower too an attention getting colorette variety to add to your collection Rosy wings I love this flower it is so pretty a lovely true pink the 3-in bloom of pink are a perfect form very attractive 4-foot plant with prolific blooms have with prolific blooming habits and great stems very pretty I this one’s like one of my favorites snowbound this will also go in the moon Garden a very heavy Bloomer for a Dal of this size flowers have excellent substance that will make an outstanding exhibit variety the foliage is very Lush with a lacy type leaves making this an attractive addition to any Garden this was a a Daryl har Award winner in 1996 next up star child I I did grow this in my moon Garden last year this is a lovely 3-in white orchid flower variety darling little one to use in Arrangements nice and strong straight stems on a 4-foot plant produces small tubers Summer’s end this 5in soft Peach Blossom blends to yellow in the center making an attractive combination this 4-foot plant produces good long stems for cutting and arranging this variety will make an excellent competitor in the water lily class produces small tubers summeren received an award from the American Dalia Society for the highest scoring water lily form for new hybrids sent to the North America Trial Gardens in the summer of 1993 sweet dreams the 6in bright pink Bloom are held at a 45° angle on strong well proportioned stems a prolific Bloomer that produces an abundance of show quality blooms a must have if you love cut flowers excellent foliage 4 and A2 foot plant Tacoma moonshot so this will go in the moon Garden it’s not white as you can see um but because it says moonshot so it’s going in the moon Garden this 3-in black Red Blossom on the 3 and 1/2 ft tall plant very unusual variety if you are looking for something unique different this one is for you so I’m also into different and unique as well so next up is tanjo t a n j o h this is a very showy 4in white Bloom tipped deep fuchsia great little all around Dalia on 3 and 1/2t Tall plant touche an outstanding early Blooming Garden variety that literally covers with blooms 4in blooms are an unusual shade of salmon with a bit of lavender blush on the back of the petals producing unique and lovely color color plant is a compact 3 and 1/2 ft high and has good stems so that you can cut and bring in armloads of flowers All Summer Long Tutti Frutti a 4in bloom with pure pink and slightly curved petals very beautiful and striking on a 4ft plant with good growing habits Voodoo I haven’t grown this one this one’s a new one has this one is the um has the red black um color to it um on a 4in bloom very sturdy striking habits on a 4ot plant looks like it’s going to be a beauty so we got three more left next up is White Lightning this is a 4in bloom of pure white and slightly curved petals very beautiful and striking on a 4ot plant with good growing habits this one will also go in the moon Garden because it’s all white next up Kumi crazy big fun 7in Blooms of lavender blush Stand Out Above the Rest very tall vigorous on a 5 and 1/2t plant holds the unique blossoms well above the Foliage for one-of aind look bring a bunch of character to your yard with this gorgeous Beauty and the last one is Yellowbird this 4in yellow colorette style Bloom with large petals and ruffled collar very showy on a plant height of 4 feet this beauty goes genetically makes small tubers but this certainly does not affect the performance of or growing habits small and mighty and also beautiful so that’s all 39 of the Dalia varieties that I bought from Swan Island are you growing dalas this year what varieties are you growing leave me a comment below and let me know um what you’re growing this year for some reason I got my Dalia tubers a little bit early um for some reason I noticed that Swan Island has me down for Zone 8 and I’m in zone 5 so I’m not sure what’s going on there I’m going to have to get that fixed and the other thing is I have two accounts there so I ended up buying more dalas than I expected cuz one time I logged into one account and then the next time thinking I didn’t order any logged into the different account and I ended up with three boxes hence how I ended up with 39 different varieties of dalas but hey who can you know you can’t have too many dalas they’re just so beautiful and they you know flower up until Frost so pretty soon um I’ll be able to start getting them planted and I’ll do a video on how to plant your dalas I do have um previous videos on dalas I’ll
