  1. First, T-posts are the clear option because they won’t rot. Thus saving you money in the long run. Second, if you’re not made of money, there are a lot cheaper ways to trellis up tomatoes than a t-post for every single tomato.

  2. T posts do matter though if you have big plants and get a lot of wind. I use 9ft T posts for tomatoes, but can also get away with using top rail to reduce the number of posts required
