In Kyoto, there is a slope called Ninenzaka, and this area was designated as a traditional building preservation district in 1976. Although there are not many people here because of the early morning shooting, this area is one of the most crowded areas in Kyoto when you actually visit the area for sightseeing As you walk down this slope, you will see the Starbucks Regional Landmark Store on your left. The front garden by the entrance of Starbucks Coffee In Japan, there are several Starbucks Coffee stores with Japanese gardens. All of them have gardens created by experienced landscaping companies and gardeners, and are designed to blend seamlessly with Western-style store interiors. The pattern on the tiles in front of the stone is a representation of the siren scales that appear in the Starbucks Coffee logo. On the right side of the passageway leading to the order counter, a lantern and a wash basin are placed. Light from the courtyard is brought in, a feature unique to machiya townhouses. As the area is in a preservation district for a group of buildings, the exterior of the traditional Japanese house architecture has been preserved, and the interior has been renovated while making use of the existing space. Next to the order counter is a dry garden that is said to represent the landscape of this area called Higashiyama. This store itself has become a tourist attraction, but because of landscape protection, people are not allowed to wait in line in front of the Starbucks Coffee store, so you may not be able to enter the store depending on how crowded it is. The three stones in front of the wash basin are neatly set up in accordance with the Japanese garden tradition, even though it is new. You can also have coffee in the tatami room. Climbing up Nichinenzaka in front of the store, you will see Sannenzaka on the right side, which is also packed with tourists. The five-story pagoda can be seen at the end of the path.
