growing vegetables in the backyard garden series part two hello welcome to 77s Garden where we talk about gardening ways to save money and other special events if you new to the Channel Please Subscribe and hit the Bell icon so that you get notified of all upcoming videos hello welcome to Garden Tour Part Two and uh today I’m just going to show you guys it’s going to be a quick tour today not much has changed uh in the garden just a few things have changed in the garden from part one so just going to go through uh quickly with you guys show you guys what’s going what we’re doing in the garden let’s go so here in the garden um the main thing that I’ve done in the garden is set up these two raised beds three raised beds over here and and these three raised beds are going to help ensure that I have a much um much better uh production in this area over here and also I already planted um in this containers over here so I planted some potatoes in this container over here uh if you guys want to check out the video I’ll put the link in the description below um this potatoes I planted potatoes in all these containers over here so I’m making this section of the of the garden right now my pot Potato Patch and mostly in containers the reason why I’m growing in potatoes in containers this year is um in the past we’ve grown them in the garden and uh sometimes we forget a lot of them in the garden and especially when the uh leaves die off the stem die off we we can’t find it only find out the next uh only find out when we’re tilling the garden the next year so I’m trying to see if we can grow most of my potatoes at least I say more 50% of my potatoes in this containers over over here and then uh we’ll see how it goes this here so stay tuned for that so also this I did this raise beds over here if you haven’t seen the video check out my video where I spend less than $25 to do this rais bed right here same with that one over there and I also spent less than $25 to fill it up with everything that I need so check out those videos I’ll see if I can put the link to those videos in the description look for the videos in my video selections so um so this one is a smaller rais raised bed over here um this one we got to plant some vegetables same with these over here and so we haven’t planted anything on them yet uh because of the temperature but I think uh the next couple of days we’re going to be able to plant uh in this in this uh raised beds right here and then uh we can start thinking about uh walking in the garden and doing other stuff so we have the rest of the garden over here we haven’t done any anything in the rest of the garden um uh the this other fabric rais bed is is great is ready to go um since we covered it last year with all these um leaves and stuff like that it maintains the moisture and maintains the quality of the so what we’re just going to do is amend it a little bit with some organic fertilizer and then we are ready to plant in this one so I’ll say one quter of the garden is ready to go it’s ready to be planted and and ready to go uh so uh we’re going to go uh we’re going to start doing that hopefully within the next couple of days also I was able to get M um wood chips sorry I was able to get wood chips for free um to um fill up the uh spaces between the raised beds that would prevent whe and maintain the moisture uh in the soil and also break down over time uh so it’s awesome so if you want to find out more about the wood chips check out my video on how to get wood chips for free so Al over here I have some uh some containers I replace some of the containers over here and I uh I planted some stuff already over here on this side of the greenhouse right here I made some containers this year and I this time I used half uh gallon of half like 30 gallon containers um so over here I have lettuce plant some lettuce over here here in this three containers uh two containers over here I planted some hcky berries um hu berries are going to be uh they already uh transplanted them from the greenhouse so they’re already good ready to go uh hopefully we’re going to be able to start harvesting some within a couple of weeks and then maybe later on I can transition one of the containers to uh something else like uh beang or water leaf and this one over here this is a salad mix that we planted over here it’s also um great it’s good ready to go over here we have our onions that we I’m trying this here using the crate like this to uh to grow onions so I planted some onions so check out those videos also I’ll see if I can put the link to those videos uh uh in the uh in the uh description below so uh over here we have our regular kale you see last the last video the Hills were coming out they were looking great these ones are uh like I said last time they in in the winter they stayed D and in the spring like this they pop out and they start producing a lot of uh leaves so very soon we’re going to be able to PL to harvest these and uh be able to start getting some care from the garden this one this variety looks like the already trying to produce some seeds and flowers and stuff so that is it for um no nothing has changed in the rest of the garden over here as you can see uh not much has changed uh hopefully we’re going to be able to start tilling the garden next week so hopefully the next video there will be some changes in here we have to till the garden and then we have to start planting um I don’t think we have any chance of frost again um uh the next couple of uh uh weeks I hope I hope not but uh at least we’re not going to plant uh until next week um um once we do that I think we should be in good condition over here so um over here our um strawberries are coming along great some of them um started producing uh flowers already so hopefully very soon we’re going to start uh getting some strawberries and start eating some strawberries so uh that was just
