Hi all, I have recently taken some cuttings off my philodendron fuzzy petiole and I noticed today that there is a ring of white tendrils around the node. Is this tiny roots forming or some sort of mold/fungus? Any help would be much appreciated.

Beginning of roots.
Totally normal, but I find only certain types of plants do this. Roots are on their way.
