Before & After Apartment Patio Makeover / My Secret Garden / Container Garden / Grow in Small Space

(#3) ~CLICK CC for Text~ Over three weeks, I stayed focused and determined to complete my patio makeover and create a little garden sanctuary that was beautiful and edible. I had many mental battles about stopping and doing something else, but I just pushed through them. In this video, I show how living in an apartment does not mean we cannot grow food. All it takes is creativity. #livingmybestlife #gardeningideas #procrastination #patiogarden #apartmentgardening #gardentour #containergardening #apartmentlife #morkies #morkie

[Music] I couldn’t find the actual video I took prior to moving in so this is apartment that is vacant exact same layout and this is the the bare patio their plants are a bit bigger they’re on the front side get a lot of sun but they face the parking lot and you can hear other people have dogs here so this just gives you a a basic idea of what it looked like welcome to my new apartment patio Garden it took three full weeks and it was a labor of love but quite exhausting and I I refused to give up so here we have the little table set I did not manage to get the chairs painted pink as I wanted because we’ve just had so much wind that I was afraid it would go everywhere I have a lot of pots that just have flowers in it um as you can see where the patio line ends the management company put in a border of rocks with some little green plants and they allowed me to put a fence up so I could contain Little Miss Luna May and that uh gave me a nice perimeter for my garden these are my little spaceship grow lights they will stay on all day and I’ll turn them off before I go to bed this area just does not get enough sunlight to encourage proper plant growth so I thought that um if I really wanted to have a garden I was going to have to come up with some kind of additional light source I will leave down in the um about section A list of the plants that I have put in my garden I mean as you can see I have packed her with every usable bit of space at this point I’ve got three different tomato plants lots and lots of flowers I do have solar lights I will take a video of them one evening when they’ve all come on a little solar Fountain and in the late afternoon it starts sputtering because that’s when the Sun hits this side of the garden and I want everyone to know that Willoughby survived his surgery he has a he had a head transplant he is doing fine it was a clear break the only little thing I still have to do is glue that piece back on and he’s as good as new now these are my peas this area gets like 3 hours of late afternoon sun and I am hoping that will be enough to grow the peas and might try wrapping them around Willoughby finally I have um my mobile rack but it’s going to be stationary as you can see I put in some grow lights and everything is really doing quite well on there I used four levels I only did that because of the grow lights um otherwise I just don’t think the the bottom plants would have gotten enough Sun I’m going to do my barbecue later today it’s kind of a cool little setup I can sit it right there in barbecue and then just turn around and sit at the table and eat hi Luna say hi to everybody she’s like what are we doing out here so early in the morning life cannot get much better to sitting here in my chair using my grill look at that I even have this live canot okay well so much for my fancy Garden this morning we are getting hit with a really bad rain and Windstorm I got the cushions in I turned the table over one of my tomato plant cages got torn up a little worried about the uh strawberry Tower but it’s so windy out there I can’t get it in I don’t live in Florida seriously this is Ido I don’t know what’s going on well it’s actually quite calm this morning and there’s supposed to be scattered rain and lightning today but I don’t know if it’s in my area specifically so I’m going to leave the lights off um as you can see this is the the rug I’ve got it propped up on the chairs trying to get it dried out shows a high today of 89 so maybe in a couple of days the whole thing will be dried out and I can get my little garden back to the way it was there’s where I put the strawberry Tower I ended up getting out there in the wind and rain and the brakes were on that’s why I couldn’t move it but it’s all safe
