[Music] a heart speed to the city streets we begin to feel the fire We rise like tall buildings as the chemical take us higher the night’s young it it’s just beg she puts a hand in my hello there welcome back or welcome if you’re new my name is daffany thank you so much for joining me today we’re going to be focusing in on my front yard um for the beginning half of the video so I’m just giving you a look at the front um flower bed we’ve done working here like towards the beginning of Spring but the Tulips that were up here have died back soaked up all of the sun to recharge the bulbs so now it’s time for me to cut them back and then also add in some summer color and I am going to be adding in some beautiful super tunia in between the blue um Fus grass but before we get started I need you guys opinion so this is an area that I do not normally show in my videos it’s the Fairway strip between the sidewalk and and the street so right now it’s has like weedy grass um in different sections and then this little patch is nothing but weeds so what I was thinking was so this little area leads back to the beautiful pathway that we’ve worked on so many times so I went on Pinterest and I saw some amazing photos so I wanted your opinion on which of these four um types of planting should I plant along my Fairway so I think that I’m going to try to do some type of combination of them but I definitely would like you guys [Music] suggestion so I always value you guys suggestions because you see things differently than I do so I’m popping up again this is one this is going to be option number two which I can reuse some of the hosta that I already have this is going to be option three I’m thinking of maybe doing similar the blue Fus as I have up here in this bed or this option which is four where I can incorporate some type of um succulent and some rocks so let me know your thoughts down in the comment sections I already know that you guys are going to have amazing ideas going to [Music] be so we’re just cleaning up the mulch and I just wanted to look back at the project that we did up here since we’re in the front we did an amazing spring 24 front porch makeover and this is how it turned out very subtle changes but it refreshed the space and I can’t wait to add in different elements for summer which will be coming soon now we are going to add in a beautiful pop of color with these super tunia Bordeaux I absolutely love them I picked up four of them and I’m going to spread them throughout um this little Meandering um bed that we have here in the front and this bed is beautiful I love the color Pops that it adds we have um some juniper we have as I mentioned the blue Ficus grass which is we added that I think it was last year that we added um about I think there’s a total of six of them in this little section here there’s three and they look absolutely beautiful they’re that nice icy blue color and I think that the um Bordeaux super tuners are going to look really nice next to it and we also have some Evergreens in this bed and we have um two sand cherry bushes which have that beautiful burgundy color and we have that chushi ymous and I just love the way that everything looks oh we also have two little um Dusty Millers that come back each year as well so I can’t wait for the um super tunia Bordeaux to just Blossom and really start giving us a show um during the spring because they are absolutely huge now another project that we need to do is the pathway and I shared this makeover um last month where we restained the pathway and all of the plants were just starting to wake up well summer is almost here and the hosta are taking off they are humongous and also the coral Bell as well so what I like to do is make sure that I trim them back so that they’re not impeding on the walkway so that we can freely walk back and forth now if I go with the options on The Fairway of just adding in some hasta what I’m going to do is take the plants that are lining the path here and just relocate them out to the Fairway so that they’re free plants and they’re able to add a little more Beauty out there and then it’ll just bring your eye along the pathway and it’ll just continue um that like flanking of color out there as well as on the pathway so I know I showed you images so make sure that you comment down below which um way you think I should go if you are enjoying today’s video and you like my vibe leave me a plant Emoji down in the comment [Music] section so the Beautiful tulips that we’ve had here in the past definitely are spent now I’m just letting the um foliage die back and recharge the bulbs and then I’m going to clean it out I think that I’ve done that for long enough so I’m going to just quickly just remove all of that foliage and then I’m going to show you how this B looks after I’ve cleaned everything up [Music] [Music] baby you me ice [Music] and you giv me Wind and Rain some kind ofly baby [Music] you you whip up my appeti don’t leave me d [Music] so this is how we’re looking absolutely fresh and clean again and I just wanted to give you a closeup of these cat mint we planted these the beginning of last spring and they have doubled or tripled in size so I don’t know if you guys remember I was dreaming of some beautiful purple color in this section and originally I had wanted to put lavender but I decided that cat mint would be a better option and I’m so happy that I picked [Music] [Music] it so we’re just trying to make such great time of our day so I decided that I’m going to be doing some um power washing this day it was probably in the begin early 80s so I think it was probably like 81 or 882 and the sun is shining and I really wanted to just you know clean off the surfaces so I’m just spraying down the table that we have here and I also wanted to clean the tarp that is over the pergola and we’ve had the pergola for two seasons now so this would be our third season and I have um the white uh covers and they’re they’re working very well but I haven’t pressure washed them yet so I just wanted to take this opportunity to just pressure wash everything down get it nice and clean before we um put them up for the [Music] season leave me B you me gentl the rain ofly baby [Music] [Music] you oh [Music] oh [Music] oh oh [Music] oh oh [Music] [Music] I so I wanted to give you guys a closeup look this is the side of the tarp that faces up so this is the the side that gets all of the pollen and anything that’s falling down so it’s the side that is full of grime so I just wanted you to see how easy it is when using the power washer to just be able to get everything off and make it nice and clean [Music] iar so I’m loving how the power washer is um working um I have all of my like DIY products and also my um furniture all linked inside of my Amazon storefront if you ever are in need or you know questioning where I got something from It’s Always Linked In the description destion so while I was cleaning I got a visit by two rious squirrels as usual they startled me and I just wanted to share this footage with you guys they are just having a bow here watching me um as I [Music] work out of control [Music] [Music] so while I love watching the squirrels we have to tackle another project so I wanted to get started on this fence now this is not my fence obviously it flanks um mine and my neighbors so we are reaping the benefits of their fence and then also the fence at my uh backside which is my other neighbors so because we have such large trees and the pollen that we get the fences are like covered with pollen this time of season and I try not to do it too early in the season because I would have to redo it again so this is the perfect time so I decided to just be able to tackle this project and it went very quickly um I have a um Green Works uh Coldwater uh pressure washer that I use we’ve had it ever since I think 2020 is when we purchased it and it works really well I picked it up at Lowe’s I’ll have that linked also if you guys are interested in it it’s a great uh pressure washer and I actually got it on Deep Discount I bought it online at l and I paid I think about $80 for it um it was the model like that was previously than the one that they were they had in stores so I was able to get this one at an amazing price if I went into the store and purchased this this unit it would have been $20 and some OD dollars and I got it for $80 and it was brand new it’s just a a previous model so I guess they discounted it so by the way I was amazed at the discount that I was able to get and the way that it works and I use it so often in my area I also added on the Surface Cleaner that I use several times to just be able to clean my patio walkways you’ll see it in future videos and I’m sure you guys will really enjoy watching it it’s so satisfying to just see all the gme just wash away [Music] and this is the after it looks gleaming white I’m so happy that I was able to like check this off of my to-do list [Music] [Music] so the last project that I wanted to do was clean up this little bed now in a past video where I moved the hydrangea from this uh little planter and added it in the side bed um I showed this so I have some really big weeds over here so I’m just pulling them out I’m also getting rid of the cardboard that we were going to be using for the no dig bed and I’m just going to refresh um the soil here I’m going to rake it up make sure that I get any type of um roots from the past plantings um retop it with some soil and also some compost and then we’re just going to plant up some uh flowers we’re going to try to do a blend of Zenia and also some wild flowers and we’re going to see how it turns out I think that this will be the perfect spot to just give some beautiful color [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] dve [Music] [Music] so these seeds I picked up you know a couple of years ago at Dollar Tree and I never got around to planting them so I am just putting down a bunch of seeds and we’re going to see how they germinate um I’m not following the ratio that’s on the pack they are maragal and also Sam Zenia so I think that it’s going to be a beautiful combination here if they are still viable again you know the seeds have been around for a couple of years so we’re going to just you know cross our fingers that we get some germination [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so I just want to thank you guys for joining me again I hope that you enjoyed the video if you did make sure that you give it a thumbs up and share with someone that might like my content I just wanted to take a quick look back here at the spring 24 patio refresh that we did if you haven’t watched this video it’s going to be linked in the description along with the playlist so you can check out all of my most recent videos and I hope that you enjoyed uh spending some time with me today until the next time which will be next Sunday have a blessed day [Music] oh

  1. The only thing with digging up your hosta moving to the area out front is when people walking by with there dogs using your beautiful plants for a toilet spot

  2. 🌷🌻 I like the rocks and succulents. I wonder if the rocks might get kicked around? It’s a beautiful option though.

  3. I think the ficus grass would look great and hopefully be hardy enough to stand up to foot traffic on your sidewalks. I know whatever you choose to do will look wonderful!😊

  4. Hi Daphne!
I was thinking that your stripped by the street, maybe do a combo of a couple of the plant you showed us there all nice. Definitely use some hosta and I like the white flowers but whatever combo you come up with will be nice.✨

In the backyard, what is the name of that red tree that you have by the white fence? It’s funny you’re talking about the fence because I was going to ask where you got it from, and how many feet high is it Also, what type of material is it made out of? I think I may have asked you this last year.😂 but I have forgotten and I don’t remember what video I was watching back then.
Great video so far I’m still 👀

  5. Hey Daphne, Happy Monday. I think succulents are a great idea. I love how you pour so much love into your yard.🪴 Your landscape always looks amazing! The catmint is very pretty, and I hope your flower bed is successful. I'm excited for an update on the seedlings . Tfs. Wishing you a great week! ☺️💐💐💐

  6. Hi Daphne, whatever you choose it’s going to look beautiful, I think #1 looks really pretty.
The fence looks fantastic, I have a love hate with ours I love the weather look, but there
Such clean and refreshing look that gets me too! Can’t wait to see your planter! 🙏🏻🤞

  7. Daphne the Hosta seems like the most low maintenance option so I would choose those. But you know me.🤣 I Absolutely love the power washing. Great job. Thanks for sharing!

  8. The hostas, are really growing. I'm not sure which one I like the best. I think they all are nice. I think you should probably go with some thing that's very easy to maintain. I definitely wouldn't do the hostas there. Maybe the rocks and succulents fence turned out very nice and clean.

I hope the Margold grows back yard looking nice

  9. I think whatever you decide to put on the hellstrip makes sure they can withstand the heat since it is so close to the road. It may need more water than the plants closer to the house.
