First thing is that it is a plant. This is the biggest thing. First quality. Second, it is a spiritual, religious, lucky plant. Third, it is a flowering plant. When it blooms at night, it shines like silver in white color. It looks very nice. And aromatic. Its flowers have fragrance. It is used in hair oil, root fresheners, and many other things. It is also used in the cosmetic industry. And believe me, when I get very tired, I sit near it in the evening and it feels very nice. This plant should be at your home. And I think this plant is mostly at people’s homes. But the problem is that it doesn’t have flowers. What to do? Let’s take the complete details about it today. This is a typical summer plant. It grows very well between 15-35 degrees Celsius. In summer, when the temperature touches 40-45 degrees Celsius, you should keep it in shade. Take care of water. Because at that time, its leaves start to dry. The flowering will stop a little. But when it rains, it starts flowering again. When the temperature drops, it will be stressed. See, in the beginning, it won’t be stressed much. But slowly it will drop. Its growth will look like it has stopped. There is no growth, even if it is flowering, there are very few flowers. But as soon as the temperature is normal again, as soon as the spring season comes, you must do hard pruning. This is a plant that needs hard pruning. You will do hard pruning and it will start growing again. The main thing is that if your plant is old, it will tolerate all the seasons. It will not get anything. Now where will you get this plant from? You will get it from the nursery. You can buy it from any nursery from March to October. I will recommend that you buy a double petal plant and buy two plants of the same type. They look very beautiful. The second thing is that you can also apply it with cuttings. But if you are a beginner, you will not be able to apply it with cuttings. You will have to get it from the nursery. You will not get much costing. You will get it for 60-70 rupees. If it is very healthy, it may be 100 rupees. But you will get it inside. You will see varieties in this plant. There are single petal and double petal varieties. The second thing is that if you want, you can keep the mugra in a normal pot. And if you want, you can also plant it like a bale or climber. Let’s talk about how much sunlight it needs. This is a plant that needs at least 3-4 hours of sunlight. But don’t keep it in very strong sunlight. Especially when it is hot. Like Bougainvillea, Giloa, they don’t have much problem in sunlight. But give mugra a shade of shade if the sunlight is very strong. And this is a typical outdoor plant. You have to keep it outside. Now let’s talk about its pot. Keep it in a pot of at least 12 inches. If you keep it in a small pot of 8-10 inches, it will still flower. But later, to make it thicker and to get more flowers, you have to shift it to a bigger pot. 12 inches is necessary. If you have a bigger pot, you can also keep it in that. Like I have kept some in 12 inches and some in 16 inches. And if you have recently started gardening and you have brought mugra to your home for the first time, then I will suggest you to plant it in a clay pot. If you have experience, you can plant it in any pot. You can plant it in plastic, cement, ceramic, or any other pot. Let’s talk about watering. The soil of this plant should never be completely dry. It always needs moist. So whenever you see that the soil is about to dry, don’t let it dry. Give it water. And give it water very well. Its roots reach down very quickly. So if water reaches the roots, then only this plant will grow very well. How the soil should be is very important. The growth of any plant depends a lot on its soil. This is a plant that will flower and that too with fragrance. So its soil should be very good. It should be soft and it should be nutritious. And the water should not be stopped. So take the soil that you have. You have to mix a little more than half of the soil with compost. You have to mix half of the compost with sand. And you have to mix the same amount of cocoa peat. A little mustard cake. A little neem cake. And now we will mix it very well. Now let’s talk about pruning. Whether you prune this much in any other plant or not, but you will have to prune in Mogra if you want to get flowers from it. When we bring it from the nursery, it will be a very normal one or two-branched plant. We will make it thick by pruning it. Check every 15 days. If you see a tip in a branch, cut it. You will get new branches from where you cut it. It will be very thick in about a month and a half to two months. So the first pruning we are doing is to make it thick. The second pruning we will do is when we see flowers in it. When you see flowers in it, let it bloom and cut it. The flower will not come back where it has bloomed. If you don’t cut it, its flowering will slow down slowly and then end. It will not flower at all. Then you will have to work very hard, you will have to cut a lot, you will have to put a lot of fertilizer. So as soon as the flower blooms, cut it from below the node. And the third thing is that if you don’t cut it, it will grow from anywhere. Because it is a bael plant, it will run here and there. If you want to give it a shape, you will have to cut it for the shape. You have to do hard pruning of it every year in the spring. And when this plant is at least 2 years old, in the same pot, then do its root pruning. Means take it out in 2 years, check its soil, check its roots. Because its roots spread very fast. You will cut only after seeing in detail. Now let’s talk about fertilizers. When we bring this plant new, our focus should be to make it green and thick. So for this, you have to give a strong fertilizer once a month. If the heat is not too much, the temperature is not 33 degrees Celsius, then you give a liquid fertilizer of groundnut or mustard or peanut or mustard. This plant will become green very quickly. If the heat is increased, then you can give cow dung liquid fertilizer, neem cake or vermicompost tea. But when this plant is at its flowering peak, when it has a lot of flowering, then you have to give banana peel and onion peel. Like sometimes give banana peel, sometimes give onion peel. At that time, you can stop strong fertilizer. And it is necessary to have at least 10 days gap in banana peel and onion peel.
