Front Yard Garden

DIY Front Yard Makeover | Modern Garden Bed Landscaping | Garden Spheres

Today’s video I am redoing my front garden bed, she definitely needed some work. I wanted a sleek, low-maintenance, modern appearance. By swapping out the white rocks for all black mulch and incorporating three Garden Sphere balls, I infused a modern touch into the front bed. The transformation truly enhanced the overall look, meeting my expectations perfectly!

hey your girl was struggling welcome back to my channel your girl is back and in this video I am redoing my garden bed for the second time look at her she looks a mess I am not happy about this okay so my plan is to remove all these white rocks yes I do love the look of the white rocks but yeah I made a big mistake without adding any edging like the black edging going around but you learn from your mistakes you don’t even see the lining like where’s the lining that I put down it just vanished um the plants that I planted they just vanished I just don’t know what else to say but let me tell you what happened throughout the winter my husters were ate all up by the deers and they’re growing back so they decided to grow back this spring I thought they were totally gone I’m going to keep that keeping my hostage and I will be adding some Garden Spar balls throughout my Decor of the Landscaping so yeah I’m really excited about this removing all the Rocks doing all black mulch just something very simple clean minimal and yeah let’s get straight to it have to take a little break break cuz I removed that one of the rocks and look do you see that frog right there I don’t do frogs I don’t I’m terrified of frogs [Music] [Music] I want to show you my garden balls I found this really large one at HomeGoods and these on Facebook Marketplace I actually use these silver ones I sprayed them silver for Christmas and I have these ones that I’m going to spray paint like a concrete I think I’m going to keep these on Silver like for the holidays Christmas timee I want to put this large one one of those larger ones and a small one so I want to actually do three maybe four want to paint them like spray paint them like a concrete gray so yeah we’re going to do that right now okay now I have my garden balls already prepped and laid out what I did I put some wood pieces on the bottom to kind of elevate the balls so when I spray paint them it won’t stick to the plastic and I could get underneath it more even though you won’t really see it too much in the garden bed but I still want to get down there as much as possible and the extra large ball I was able to put on a bucket and that ball is really not that heavy is actually lighter than the ceramic one I’m not sure what kind of material it is made of but yeah so the two spray pains that I’ll be using I’ll be going in with this Granite satin gray which is this dark gray and then I will be topping it off with this Stone gray I wanted that washed kind of concrete look so that’s why I’m using two colors this is what she looks like with the first coat the dark granite gray and I’m going to top it off with the stone light gray color okay I think that looks much better so okay so you see my ball right you can see the line going across so I guess it’s like two halves and they put it together to make one but you could just see the the indention of the line and it’s really bothering me I know you may not be able to see it that much outside but I believe you can and I should have did this before I did the spray paint but it’s okay so I got some joint compound and I’m just going to do like this first half I’m not even going to do the whole thing going around and I’m just going to try to smooth it out as much as possible yeah you can see it way more on this side I end up making some plaster of Paris instead of the oldp purpose joint compound cuz that’s going to take longer to dry this is going to dry much much faster just pretty much trying to fill in these in that area so you can’t really see it too tough definitely can see this much compared to the back and I’m going to sand it down nicely the back cuz the back you can really tell see yeah you can really tell I’m not worried about the back cuz like who’s going to see the back right so this is how they look I think it looks they came out amazing and you can see this one you do not see the line how much I’ve done so far I think it looks good whatever Little Rock is in there I’m just going to keep it in there clean up this side and I could have kept some of the mulch but got I got so many new bags of mulch I’m just going to replace the mulch it’s just a little bit left back there but it’s not a big deal I got most of it up oh good my husta is growing right there okay your girl was struggling I want to do a nice clean Edge look like going down 5 in deep here an inspo pick I’m not too big on the plastic edging border I don’t really like that look but let me tell you I’m in the South and this Georgia Clay is just ain’t no joke it’s mixed with a bunch of rocks and hard Stone I wish really struggling but I was talking to this Gardener He’s been a gardener for like 30 plus years very professional Gardener and he was just telling me what I need to do I didn’t put down no liner um I really don’t have no weed weeds in that area I am going to put some PR I think it’s called PR it’s a weed preventor that I will sprinkle on top of the mulch but yeah okay it’s been about 3 4 days look raining so as you can see wow my husta grew really big let me insert when I first recorded like wow that was in like 3 4 days that’s crazy right look how nice and big that is wow and this is the one I’m trying to dig up and move more towards the front cuz I want to put the ball right there in the middle The Edge looks really really good just going to clean it up a little bit some more and yeah and this is the other side I think I may need to dig a little bit more right here but so far so good yeah I’m going to take this all the way down I think I’m going to take this all the way down and put mulch going straight down so that will probably be in another day I’ll see how I feel today it’s pretty hot but guess the first thing I need to do is remove this hosta but I wonder if I put the ball back there H maybe I could put the bow back there there another bow right there instead of the bow like right here I’ll have to see okay I need a twisted a little bit cuz you can see the line right there but this is just giving you a visual it actually fits perfect right there and I really really like it so I don’t need to move that husta that definitely saves me some time I am going to plant a husta right here I’m glad I put it there first before digging up this huster so yeah let’s get to it [Music] oh [Music] [Music] this looks so good I planted that hosta right here when that got big it’s going to like fill out that space so now I have these filler rocks that I had before I’m going to work on this another day don’t mind my gter I’m got to clean it so I have have these three decorative rocks so I think I’m going to put one right here and fill in like put one right there and maybe one like right there your girl is finally done and I love it I am so obsessed with this I really like how it came out I love how clean minimal and modern it looks no more rocks I just love the black mulch I love the garden Spears obsessed with the garden spars this has been my vision um yeah I didn’t get to do the siding yet I would get to that another day it was 86° it was hot but yeah I really really like this um when my landscaper comes I’m just going to have him to cut straight underneath the window like going straight across and just to give it like that nice clean look I am very happy with this let’s do a quick quick recap before horrible horrendous and after tell me what you think see you guys in the next video

  1. I like your content but chatting about the hosta, frogs and neighbors was throwing me off. I started skipping around to get back to the actual work. I also kept having to turn the volume up and down because the talking was low but the music was blasting. Gorgeous final product though.
