First try after reading for a couple hours and just going for. I got all the plants from a local park. After finishing I'm not sure I left enough room in the top. Sorry the picture is a bit distorted, I forgot to take the picture before I sprayed the water in. Any advice would be appreciated.

That’s a monster of a drainage layer!
Honestly they’re such a hassle to empty and redo, I’d just let this one sit and see how it fairs. Then everything you learned can be applied to the next jar.
My personal rule is the drainage layer shouldn’t be taller than from the tip of my thumb to my knuckle.
