Hi, I have this unkillable patch of plants in my back yard, every year for the last 8 years my neighbor/yard guy has cut it to the ground and burned the area only for it to return every year.
I didn’t particularly care about it because it was only in one spot and didn’t seem to be expanding any, but we started a garden and it started popping up in the garden and when I attacked it it suddenly started spreading in every direction with extensive underground root systems, I think it might be all one organism because when you pull up roots sometimes four or five will be connected to the one branch root but then it snaps
Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of really mature versions because of the war I’ve been battling the last few weeks, but it eventually grows into a wooden like trunk vs younger versions being more like weeds or grass
