Thanks friend for all the great information!!!! Have a blessed day from Michigan

Great channel but… the intro music is outdated and awful. I have to skip through the introduction.
Tomato leaves are turning yellow what do I do
Very much agree with your soil concepts. But you are not growing in south Texas. Doesn’t matter what kind of soil, you will have to water just about every day.
Should have said in your home zone. Most of this advice is not right for southern zones especially in Florida or if you are growing in containers. 😊
What about if you are growing in containers? Shouldn’t we fertilize and water a little more than just straight in the ground?
Don't you still need to water every day when it was like last week with temps in the high 90's every day, or is that still too much?
I agree with the over watering part, but with some caveats. (I think) lol say you’re like me and I’ve just planted my fruit trees and berry bushes and we’ve had extreme heat and no rain. I pretty much have to water every morning till they’re established right?
great advice. i've been watering and fertilizing less this year and i've saved a lot of money and my plants are looking better than previous years where i would fertilize weekly and water daily.
you are the best…. how many years now/ over 15…yes?
it's so punky it's last name is "Brewster"
I have been gardening for about 12 years now, and always on YouTube watching gardening videos…but I must say, I always come back to you to double check everyone's advice bc you are so reliable and not superfluous in your advice or knowledge. Thank you!
😱 Tell that to my tomato plants they are already 6 feet tall. It been raining here alot and it been brutally hot.
I use your Trifecta+ for my fertilizer, so I only need to fertilize once when I plant my annuals (right?). Also, the only times I water more than once or twice a week is during heat waves. Last week I watered every other day due to the heat and dryness. Because, I want those roots to go nice and deep, and they always do! It's only my greenstalks and my grow bags that I water slightly more often.
Thank you, Luke. 😊
Serious question, if it is 105+ a day for two or three months with not a single drop of rain and the “low” is high 80s well above the dew point so it is DRY, how often should you be watering?
My soil is taking alot of work because of so much red clay. I think it will be awhile before it stays fluffy. I have had to add lots of compost to it and still not enough to transform it immediately.
108 degrees today. Water once or twice a week? I do add a lot of compost….paper shreds from our shredder, etc but they would all die.
My sandy soil has fought me for over 20 years…despite amending with compost, manure, minerals and mulching it still won't hold moisture or nutrients. Years that I am better about fertilizing regularly and not watering too deeply the garden does so much better. Now if only I could buy clay soil to mix in with it…hahaha. Thanks for another great video, Luke.
Being disabled vs last year when I was in a boot instead of one footed, I watered every morning and basically just the surface. This year I am having to have someone do it for me, so I haven't been pushing people to do it because I hate being a burden. My garden is looking great and we are watering maybe twice a week right now. I'm sure that will change in July and August as it typically is pretty warm here those months but so far, a lot less watering and it's working well.
P tea…. enough said until July! Berkshires, MA I am always micromanaging garden. Peace
Thank you but we have been having extreme heat and my plants really do need water daily.
I can go longer periods of time between watering raised beds and containers during Spring. But when temperatures reach 90 and above, my plants need water every other day in containers. Sometimes I can go 2 or 3 days without watering in raised beds.
How much you have to water depends on where you live. Maybe you don't have to in Michigan, but in the summer's heat here in Texas where it doesn't rain that much during the summer, you either have to water every day or just watch your plants die.
I am a life long gardener and watch a bunch of YouTube channels on gardening for entertainment. I always come here for information and advice.
I have been making compost for two years. The alfalfa pellet trick is really helping this year to get more compost than normal.
Our soil is extremely sandy and I am hoping over time to increase the nutrients and composition of our soil. I had to water every few days as of last year. We will see if there is any difference this year. There is also only enough compost made to add about 1/2”-1” to one bed each year. Hopefully one day we will get there. Our meager social security payments don’t allow us to purchase compost so this year for my birthday my children purchased a little bit of composted manure and compost to help add the the compost I can make on my own. That was all I wanted.
I dunno, Luke…while micro-managing one of my tomato beds this morning I found a tiny tomato hornworm that had only eaten one leaf. I call that a win! 💚
How can I keep bugs from eating on my Zuchinni & cucumber? Thank you for sharing 😊
