I have a Calathea crimson which is now almost 3 months old. It seems to be happy now and giving out new leaves. However, the new leaves are not as dark. They are pretty pale as compared to other ones.
1) They do not receive indirect light. They are in a room with plenty of bright indirect light. I've also tried changing the location between bright indirect to medium indirect light
2) Watering is not a problem. I water them when the top 1-2 inches feel dry. I give it rain water
3) It sits in premium Calathea potting mix
4) I fertilize it with a universal fertilizer every alternate watering.
What can I do to make the leaves darker in shade?
