I found some tough, woody vascular tissues upon degrafting. Making the cut took a serrated knife and some serious sawing to get through. The core was much easier to cut through than these veins were. I’m curious how far they go into the scion. I’ll have to check dates but I know this was grafted more than a year ago. These weren’t present during the initial cut to attach the scion
