I got a Rex Begonia a little over a month ago and it was doing great up until I went on vacation for a week. When I came back I immediately watered it since the soil was dry and kind of hydrophobic. It looked good but definitely needed to be watered- it's been downhill ever since. The leaves started getting crispy after watering and curling up/turning black then the leaves started developing transparent spots (second pic) and finally I gave up on the plant when all but one leaf was dying. I propped the one leaf in some distilled water yesterday but I have a feeling this little guy isn't going to make it either. It wasn't super healthy but definitely better than the rest.
