Just got this guy, but he is showing signs of sunburn in a low/medium light location?

He looked alright when I got him (under a week ago); I noticed one leaf at the bottom was losing its color in store but I didn’t think it was a big deal. Ever since I brought him home he’s been getting a little more droopy and the lower-lying leaves have been looking sunburnt(?)— the leaves are turning white and becoming thin. I hadn’t really looked at his stems before I bought him so I am not sure if the brown striping is a new development or not.

I don’t REALLY think he is sunburnt since the symptoms don’t match up very well (lower leaves dying first??) but I’m really not sure what else it could be. I haven’t repotted him since his pot looks to be a pretty good size for him and matches my apartment enough for me to be happy with it. I also removed a couple of the dead crispy leaves so he looks a little better than he did before I took these pics.

For context, the first picture is the plant overall— this is about the max amount of light it receives over the course of the day. The second pic is a comparison of a dying leaf next to a healthy one, and the third picture is of his stems.

If the issue is only occurring in the lowest leaves, then that’s pretty normal – plants sometimes abandon their oldest leaves when they’re pushing out more.

Old leaves die off when the plant needs energy for roots / more leaves, if it’s a newer one I’d be more concerned

there’s also a halo of yellow around the brown crispy in pic 2 (on the greener leaf) how do the roots look, how’s your watering?
