Last week everything seemed fine, but now it is covered in white patches and half the plant looks dead. Is there anything I can do? No other plants around it seemed affected (yet) 🫠 tiya
Rock rose is particularly susceptible to powdery mildew. It’s one of the only disadvantages to the species. You can look for various remedies, but I just leave it alone. It happens no matter what I do and I just accept some of it every year and I don’t think it will kill the plant. If you want to treat it you can cut off the worst stems since the rock rose will readily regrow, plus more airflow is helpful. Then you can try a powdery mildew remedy if you want to.
