Monstera

My cat ate all the leaves from cutting I was lucky to get for free 🥺 He’s fine, but will the cutting be fine?

These are two photos after the incident. 🥺 the roots have grown some and there is a little green piece sticking out from part he had eaten so I’m hoping it will rebound. I was very lucky to get these from some kind generous person who left it at a local plant swap table, after wanting Monsteras but being nervous to spend a lot when I’m new to plants and I told myself I’d take really good care of it because someone was kind enough to leave them for free when I know they could sell them since Monsteras are a really popular plant. I’m usually good about closing the door to this room, but left it open for five minutes on accident to use the bathroom and came back to carnage.

The roots have grown a little too since this happened day before yesterday. Will the cutting possibly survive?

I think it will still continue to grow, it’s just going to take a bit longer. I do see a few nodes so a new growth point may come out of one of those. Just don’t forget to use fertilizer 🙂

It’s toxic to cats, take her to the vet right away.
