I’ve had this before with certain plants and not others. There are about 40 different plants in the same room as this guy (indirect light from E&S facing windows (northern US); pot has drainage; when it’s light/dry, I bottom-water it), but it’s only this string of hearts that they’re swarming. I’ve also had this plant for a few years now and never had this happen despite these tiny ants showing up at some point every year. I moved it; it’s now in the middle of the room and they’re flocking to it. Just watered and added cinnamon today because it’s humid as hell here.

I’ve had ants make nests in my plant pots before. So it may not be that they are coming for the plant, but rather coming from the plant!
It might be completely inocuous, but I would monitor for pests. Sometimes ants bring in aphids and scale and farm the honeydew secretions.
