Hello Reddit friends! I was gifted this 45 year old ponytail palm and it’s 25 year old pup. Some wind from this spring had knocked it over where I found that all the roots had died. It has been rootless for about a month and a half now. I know these are built to last through droughts but I don’t want to hurt this amazing gift! Any tips?

this is normal for them, when in a drought the roots dieback and then new ones sprout when they come out of it.
