Composting

Are these maggots in my worm compost?

If so, what should I do? I have a good worm composti g setup with a good lid. I don't know how flies got in to lay eggs.

Black soldier fly larvae, good for compost. Yes maggots but we like them here. One thing is they might outcompete your worms and reduce their population. They do the same thing though. Not sure if it matters but I dont do worms.

Possibly black soldier fly if I had to guess.

Apparently it is a sign that your bin is a bit too moist. Add more browns (shredded paper, cardboard, etc.) as these will feed the worms but the fly larva don’t like them
