What should I do now?

I planted some red bell pepper seeds in a yogurt cup and it has grown Roots through the tiny holes at the bottom would it be bad if I cut off those roots that formed through those holes and will it affect the growth of the plant?

I am watering it once a week and is in direct sunlight. It has grown flowers and everything overall I'm pretty proud and want to help it grow in a bigger pot

Bell peppers need much larger containers to grow in. At minimum, you need a 3 gallon container to get any harvest, ideally between 5-10.

Get yourself a large container, cut this little guy free, and up pot. You might lose some of your current flowers as the plant focuses on growing roots, but it will pay off in the long term.

Cut the plastic off. It’s an empty yogurt cup – you can sacrifice it!
I use all sorts of empty containers for props, too. 😁
