oh gosh I didn’t even real that that damage is new and they’re mating it is a very hot day here in Northern Virginia I am going to take a few moments to water all of my plants in and I will bring you along all right added this on to our regular um hose to make it easier for me to get all the way along the fence line to water check out my affiliate links posted in the description below for products that I use and love clicking on the links when you’re making a purchase will allow you to support my Channel with no extra cost to you thank you again for your support let’s take a look at the grape Vines from TI Tai they are being decimated by those um Japanese beetles you can see some being disrespectful hanging out I hate them so much this is my my watermelon this is my Maran Berry this is one of my fall gold plants that have also been snacked on by The Beetles and well one thing I’m going to do is EV these little suckers oh they flew away dang it look at the damage I have maybe a it’s some type of melon over there then the other melon is right there and my Gra Vines get them the deep water it’s already 80° and it’s about 9 in the morning we have a sprinkler system that comes on but it only comes on every other day so I come around and water my plants I think I’m going to end up moving these melons because they need more room so we do that I have strawberries and onions in here herbs so bay leaf some type of sage and Mar gold that I need to put in some of the pots and over here I had myum everything in here is just demolished but hopefully the NS aren’t good this is my combination cherry tree from four1 [Applause] oh gosh I didn’t even real that that damage is new and they’re mating oh my gosh gosh this is so upsetting this is a low Bush blueberry next to a um peach tree that I bought from edible landscapes in Virginia I’m so upset about this it was not like this yesterday I hate them so much look at it hate you this is my New Zealand lemonade Madison Citrus Nursery I leave the water in the catch tray because it’s so hot here this is my $15 thornless key lime from bright leaf and you can see that it’s holding fruits I lost most of my citrus fruits because I haven’t kept up with the watering I mean not the watering I haven’t kept up with the fertilizing so um they didn’t have enough to hold on to most of the fruit but my my lemons don’t seem to tear this is believe my June Gold Peach Tree from fast growing trees I have believe four Peaches on here some watering I had more but the tree I kept it in the container from the nursery and the tree just kept falling over and knocking some of the fruits off okay and here is my $15 IR lemon from bright leaf has tons of fruit on it you see that I’m going to lose a couple but that’s not bad most of my other citrus trees lost everything um this is my shiroi from Madison look at that I believe I have a couple fruits on this tree that stuck through I would have been able to keep more if I had fertilize it the way I should have and I see that we have a little pest coming in um I’ll have to treat it I don’t know if you can see it right there all right good to know I figured I would get something on these trees because now they’re along the fence line and you know a lot of the trees in the protected um land behind us is uh they aren’t treated for anything so right water that cor and I also kep all of the Madison citrus trees in their Madison soil so you may notice that the soil looks a little different but the trees love it so this is a low Bush blueberry I believe I showed this in one of the videos I don’t have a catch tray under this one but I’m going to give it a nice soak and let it drip down the bottom we give it some time okay it didn’t drip down yet so I’m going to add more water that should be good nice soaking at this point um I’m not going to worry too much about whether the water has um acidifier in it or not the most important thing at this point is keeping them watered but I will come back this evening and attach the hose in sprayer to um fertilize everything out here and I have that fertilizer that I use the description the Jax fertilizer this is my kishu from fast growing trees at first I was not pleased with the broomstick shape but you can see it’s filling in quite a bit look at all the Lush growth I did lose I believe every fruit that was on here yeah doesn’t have any but I have a ton of new growth and I guess this spider is G it which I appreciate I need to come through and get some of the weeds out I have some weeds in the pot but I like that the tree is filling out so I’m overall pleased with this tree I would love to have been able to keep some of the fruits but the fruits will set it should flush in the fall now this is my key line from Stan and I definitely need to get out here and get the weeds out but I also have new growth coming in and I have one fruit that’s set on here where is it I don’t think I captured it let’s see right there all right let’s water this one in I need to go to the nursery to find something to kill these beetles and I’m making sure that I have water in the catch tray all right um this is my brown select from stand so I have some sizable fruits on there water that in all right I have a um a blueberry from the local Nursery we have some that are ripening up my daughter picked a little over a pound worth yesterday I have some water in this catch tray but I’m just going to add some water to the top okay this is my believe this is the Toro is that yeah my Toro from Fast grun Tre has got to get the weeds out of it and those beetles attacked it I’m just going to water that in it doesn’t have it catch tray this one is a blue crop and a strawberry planted in between doesn’t have a catch tray I have the catch trays in but I just didn’t put them on it yet this has fruit but they’re not close to ripening yet since there is no catch tray I am watering it quite a bit okay I have two peppers in here I have a [Music] jalapeno and a Jimmy nardello pepper this is the Jimmy nardello it’s supposed to be red when it’s ripe and I have some jalapenos coming in mainly got the the jalapenos for my husband and daughter cuz they like spicy food and I’ll give some to my niece she loves spicy food but the Jimmy nardello is a sweet pepper this is my um Sun sugar it looks crazy right now I need to fertilize it and prune out these dying leaves but it is my favorite tomato is a really sweet cherry tomato you may see these containers here it had aphids and we ordered some um lace Wing eggs from Nature’s good guys and it took care of them this is a big beef tomato oh I have a couple fruits all right that’s good I wanted a slicing tomato so yep that’s this one I’ll have to prune off some of the Dead Leaves but I think it’ll survive and thrive after I start fertiliz in and get a catch tray under it all right so I’m going to go around the other side and take a look at what we have over there okay so this is an asparagus seedling that I got from Nursery I need to plant it I know it’s already past the time but I have to find a place for it so I am going to water the in this is my daughter’s sugar baby watermelon um I plucked off the first watermelon and after that it just grew like crazy so I mean just within a week and she comes out and checks on it I make sure I water it because they are hungry fruits that also require a lot of water so put water them in okay better look at that I bought this planter on Amazon I believe it was last year I think this is a jewel raspberry not sure got it from Walmart I need to find a place for it this is my fall gold I need to pot it up but I will just water it [Music] in it’ll appreciate the fertilizer that I plan to come through with tonight once it warms I mean cools down um this is some Alysa they got scorched in the Sun but I’m going to plant those out I did put some more water in the catch tray this is what the Japanese beetles will do to your former flourishing strawberry bed now I planted onions in here to keep them away they did not go towards the onions but because this bed was so densely packed with strawberry plants they made their way do you see it oh and they’re mating oh great gross but yeah and you notice when you spray them with water they stay but just going to water it in hopefully go to the local nursery and find out what I can use to get rid of them is one of my um rooted grape cuttings and this is the variegated tangelo from Madison so this is in Madison’s Citrus mix their trees love it it’s expensive to ship so I haven’t really put my um my other Citrus in it I had more fruits but it kept falling over in the nursery pot so I lost a lot of those but I’m pretty sure I had one and I can’t find it know I had one okay when you leave start to cup like a taco shell we need water all right now we’re my local grocery store food Lon I need to up poot it because the pineapple actually grew quite a bit this is the bay leaf plant bay laurel I ordered that on Etsy this is my replacement um miracle fruit I bought that from a local Nursery in Florida this is my probably dead um blueberry plant from Tai Thai Nursery I tried them the grape Vines were great but my blueberries didn’t look great this is another rooted grape vine cutting we have the um coffee plant peeking out here there we go there’s the coffee I have time and I have time and uh what is that lavender um we have some sad looking lettuce plants over here I put them in this grow bag temporarily so I figure out where to put them I have some herbs here oh this lettuce went to seed I might as well let it continue and get the seeds from it have some herbs in here need to figure out where I’m going to put them and whatever goes to seed I’m going to save those seeds this is the other blueberry intermingled with my tomato um I think the blueberry is they don’t look good so um Tai Tai was great for their bare root grape Vines for me but I would not buy the blueberries at least not this time of year I’m pretty sure this one is dead but I wait because there’s one green stem and this is my other um some sugar I need to stake it up this is how I bought it at the local Nursery it’s all over the place I didn’t like that it was $50 but I went around to other nurseries and couldn’t find anything as healthy and full so I went back and got it but yeah this isn’t close to the sprinkler system so so I come out and water it often but because it’s so hot it will show that sun stress a lot quicker so I’m going to water it quite a bit and I’ll be harvesting some of those fruits um this is my replacement Little Miss figgy from fast growing trees I don’t think I’ll get any figs this year that’s fine I’m going to water that in the sun is already coming out and beating down on me I forget what this plant is got it from a local Nursery so pretty though and this is a tomato I need to Upp poot this one got it from a local Nursery this right here is a an ant trap all right this is my other peach tree from fast growing trees we have peaches on it we have peaches all right [Music] this is my very sad cucumber I hope I get some cucumbers from it I see some Bloom just watering them thoroughly I have these in theed grow bags from epic or epic gardening and I really like them because they’re thicker and they hold water a bit longer than most grow bags so I appreciate that um this is one of the bushin berry blueberries it went through a bit of shock I had it in a location where it was scolded by the Sun so move that this is the page from Stan this is a blueberry plant that I also oh really really more beetles I hate them so much this is another bushel and Berry blueberry uh there are a ton of weeds in here and The Beetles got to it so I’m going to have to doctor this one all right this is my Meer lemon that I got from one of our local nurseries it’s holding fruit just fine I’m going to water that in you don’t want to fill up this catch tray because it’s we’re going to get close to 100 today okay got that this is the blue ray is this one yeah Blue-ray um beetles got to that one too and this is our other blueberry bush one of the two that my daughter picked around um a little over a pound of berries from believe this one with some Lo just watering it in water this one Ino I’m watering them until it pulls over cuz I want to make sure the roots are getting a deep soak you know it’s working because it’s coming out of the bottom and then I’ll just water a little bit more same for this one I get this one some more too Peach and then water tomato okay we are done just in time before the sun comes in over here um didn’t realize that I haven’t given a proper tour of the front yard so I snuck some edibles into our landscape in the front yard and I’m going to water really quick with my watering can cuz I don’t have a long hose attached up front um I’m going to do that really quick so first thing uh hostas are actually edible we don’t eat them but the new shoots are said to taste like asparagus all right lavender testing out the location before I actually put it in the ground other lavender right here this is Rosemary that is a weed all right let me fill up these containers so I’m thinking about putting of course the lavender there Rosemary some more herbs over here it is hooked up to the sprinkler systems so I won’t need to hand water and I have lavender over there and there testing it out before I put it in the ground and see if they like the location I can see a be on that lavender right now which is cool now I also did some crazy things um oh we have this Japanese it’s not an edible but I think it’s pretty I think for this coming season um maybe we can cut it down a bit more but I’m going to show you something really crazy that I did water what’s farthest away look ice cream banana in the ground Zone 7B you notice the sprinkler head that had to be replaced because while I dug into the ground mainly using that tool that you attach to your drill um I chipped one of the sprinkler heads so my husband fixed it thanks babe sorry and I have a what is that piie one of my favorite flowers in the ground and then I have three lavender bushes and a hardy hibiscus so let’s water this in we got this banana from Wegman’s oh wow ago and it’s had pups it already has about six cups in the pot with it this is one of the pups this is one of the cups here this is a meringa this is an ice cream banana that I bought online this is a dwarf or NOCO and I put a dwarf or a NOCO in the ground too and then this one is a truly tiny that I got from our local Nursery it’s supposed to fruit when it gets to 3 or 4 feet this one is what is this um a dwarf lady finger from Lois and this one is Carolina Carolina King banana from um TI Tai it already has two pups going so I’m going to water that in all right so I’m going to refill again and get to my guava and mango and mango has a fruit on it all right round two with the watering can I’m going to check and see what needs more water so this is my dwarf or noo from a local Nursery Maryfield Garden [Music] Center that in and this is my um hibiscus thoral this is my ComFree I know the comrey is I got that from edible landscapes in Virginia the ComFree is hearty to our area this hibiscus is not but I’ll dig it up at the end of the season and my guava that just won’t quit is healthy and my mango this a biscuit probably dead but we’ll see lavender lavender laender penny do you know what kind of spider that is flat let me know in the comments if you know what that is all right lavender smells so good

  1. I have two dwarf cherry trees that were devastated by the Japanese beetle last year.
I covered them this year. But the fruit production plummeted.
I’m not sure how to deal with Japanese beetle since I do not want to spray my fruit bushes and trees.
