Recently got a townhouse in Brooklyn and the backyard got this huge tree, as tall as a 3 story building. Loving all the shade. However, I’m not sure how to maintain it and clueless where to begin. Would appreciate some tips 🙏
+1 for r/arborists. You can also hire an Isa certified arborist to tell you more about the tree and whether it’s in good health. You should also remove as much of the English ivy around your property as you can. English ivy is a nasty invasive species that will strangle trees… unfortunately it looks like it’s coming over from your neighbor.
