What’s eating the bark off my cedar elm?!


Have been noticing some dead branches this year and just saw that something is leading to bark being removed from the tree. Any ideas?

    Something whose bite is worse than your bark.

    Honestly, probably great squirrels. They’re known to do this, particularly with elms. Given the location of the damage, this would be my guess.

    I suggest getting a rat snake or a red tailed hawk.
