Planted some pepper seedling last month and a 2nd shoot sprouted out of nowhere and grew quickly in a couple weeks.
Originally thought it was part of the pepper plant but now it appears to be something else. Possibly a seed landed in the soil upon transplant.
Vines are growing at the top and trying to attach to the pepper plant, is this Cucumber plant?

Looks like Echinocystis lobata, prickly cucumber or wild mock cucumber. It is not edible.
