Teeny tiny plant experiment

I've made a rule for myself that I can't buy any plants, so I've been redirecting my anxious post presidential debate energy to propagating the ones I have already and toying around with new ways to plant them. This is a little jar of aquatic fern offshoots (I'm not sure what kind) and java moss shoved into an empty snail shell. I stabbed holes into a piece of LECA on the top and bottom and put a nerve plant cutting in one hole, and a piece of embroidery thread in the other- my hope is that the thread will wick water to the plant. I have no idea if the nerve plant can live this way even short-term but I'm excited to find out!

This is such a cool way to use what you already had on hand!
