8 week old propagations have now developed strange purple jelly substance from the stem?
A 6 week old prop is starting to root without ever passing this jelly stage.
Are they done for?
Might stick them in soil and see what gives.

This is probable bacterial disease and is very contagious. That stuff at the edge is known as bacterial ooze.
