Carnivorous Plants

Identifing & Care (I’m a beginner)

I rescued these plants yesterday. I am a new plant owner and I have no idea what I'm doing. Can anyone help me with the identification of these plants? How do I care for them? Are there any books, apps, sites, etc I should use? I did a photo search for them & looked through several sites. I kept getting different names, and information on care. I appreciate any and all help.

  1. tricularia

    1 looks like nepenthes gaya
2 is a sarracenia of some variety (hard to tell for sure until it’s older)
    3 is nepenthes “rebecca soper”
    4 is Drosera capensis
5 is another Drosera. Maybe rotundifolia?
6 looks like another nepenthes “rebecca soper” to me

They all look thirsty though. I would get them all some water right away.

Plant 2,4,5 all need more sun. I also think I spotted a dionaea (venus fly trap) in the back as well. Plants 2,4,5 are sarracenia and drosera and both require TONS of sunlight. But dont blast them right away/do it a little gradually for the fly trap plant. Always, always, ALWAYS use distilled water, reverse osmosis water, or rain water. Do not use tap water unless your TDS (total dissolved solids) reading is below 50 coming from your tap, 80 at the ABSOLUTE max. Sarrs and drosera like their medium (do NOT use any normal potting soil/normal dirt, you need peat moss, perlite, and silica sand; NOT USE ANYTHING MIRACLEGROW!!!!!!!) on the wet side, fly traps are OK if they get a touch on the dry side (and by that I mean about as dry as a damp sponge and nothing less).
