Avonia Quinaria Yellowing Tips

Hi everyone,

I have had this Avonia for about 2 months now. It arrived with few baby mealy bugs. I have been trying not to disturb it too much and only been treating it with neem oil mix (soil and leaves). The bugs have since disappeared.

It has been looking fine and even had a new branch grow. But today I realized few yellowing tips on some branches. I looked online but couldn't find much information. All google photos had all branches looking green with no yellow tips like this.

Is this normal, expected, due to under/overwatering, pests? Please share your opinions.

I know they flower from the tip of the branches but I am not sure if they would flower from such short branches like on mine.

If the yellowing spreads, I might have to uproot it for an examination soon. I have been planning to do it anyway since I was concerned with the possibility of mealy bugs also being around the roots. I also want to use my own airy mix for it.
