Tomatoes

What happened to my sungold?

What is that? How can I prevent it from happening? Also, how do I know when to harvest sungold tomatoes? They are yellow so I don’t know how deep the color should be when harvesting.

Look for stink bugs. They gotten a few of my tomatoes this year to. Luckily only the small ones

Also look for clusters of eggs on top and even underneath your leaves.

Sorry but the perspective of the photo makes it very hard to see what you’re referring to. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t even really tell what the overall shape and size of the plant is. I’d suggest adding several photos from different angles/distances when you’re trying to highlight something specific.

Edit: In terms of harvesting you can pick them as soon as they start to change colour and allow them to ripen at home. I’d suggest leaving the first few until they look ripe and trying some, but allow some more of the first few to sit for a while longer and then try them, and so on, and you’ll soon get a feel for when they are at a good ripe stage. Once they are fully yellow they should generally be good to go.
