Monstera

!!Fruit alert!! What do I need to know? I NEED to eat it eventually. Dying to try it. I’ve kept an absurd amount of monsteras over the years, and never dreamt one would be happy enough to fruit. They grow up so fast… Planted this guy 3 years ago (last pic) and he’s grown up + around the tree since.

Intended to write “flower alert” but I was at the character limit and I’m long winded as all hell, so went with “fruit” despite the difference, haha.

Of what I have read, a fruit should develop in any case, if the plant gets fertilised it will have seeds. The fruit is ripe when the lowest caps on the individual berries start spreading apart. And do not eat the caps (peel). Ripening can take up to 12 months… happy _deliciosa_!
