I have drained a 2000 gallon pond in order to fill it in and create a lawn area. The rubber liner and most of the cloth backing have been removed. Yesterday I was hosing some stuff down and a couple gallons of water got into the pit. After 18 hours this small amount of water hasn’t yet sunk into the soil. The soil is sandy so I was thinking drainage would be good. Should I be worried that after filling this in I’ll be left with a bog?

That’s probably just ground water. Especially if it’s been wet recently. You’ll be fine.
