i had to chop it all the way back after a repotting disaster left it with two leaves.
it’s now putting out FIVE branch buds with more activating every few days.
i will eventually prune it back so it has 3-4 main branches.
i’m so happy because this plant only had one stem for its entire 5 year lifespan before being cut back to a stump, now it will become a real tree!
moral of the story don’t be afraid to chop your FLF back to a stump. just water it well before hand and give it lots of airflow, and eventually light when the buds emerge.
