Composting

Anyone here used biosolids from a waste water treatment plant?

How did you use it?
On its own or added to a compost?
Are you concerned about PFAS, heavy metals ect?

I work maintanece in treatment plants, was going to ask the operators there opinion. I know use alot of ours for land rehabilitation

Not on its own. It will be too strong. I use but I cut it with top soil and/or sand. I do worry about non biodegradables but if you understand ecosystems they’re going to happen. The organization where I work composts industrially.

    Is this human waste water?
If it is, I’d suggest you stay away from it.

Unless you want to use it in a place like Sahara desert where almost nothing lives there with aim to green the desert in about 200 years or so where most of the odd stuff in it has been killed by the heat and the sun.
There’s like a billion things in there, that you don’t want near you.

If you want to use your own waste water, you can do so, but there’s loads of things to do there as well, plus not on food sources. Maybe on trees around the property (your fence trees for example that produce nothing you consume)
