I threw a broken dahlia into some water a few weeks ago to see what would happen. Kinda excited to see some roots now. Is it ready to put in some dirt and if so any chance it would make a tiny tuber?
An animal ate all the rest of my dahlias and I would love to have somewhat of a survivor tuber to try for a flower next year.

Yes it is fine. You have roots. I would pot it in some good potting mix in a 4 inch pot in part day sun, keep it watered . In a week or two it will be ready to go in the ground.
