My mom gave me two cuttings off her philodendron. They both started out the same green, but one has recently turned yellow. I have had them in water for about three weeks now and still no roots. I haven’t changed the water because I thought it’s better to leave the water and just top off (also it’s not cloudy). Does anyone know why this is turning yellow?

Change the water. Fresh oxygen. Maybe even clean the pitcher..also you want a warm spot but not a super duper full sun spot..hope this helps.
Sometimes I notice when the cuttings node isn’t big enough the prop won’t survive
