Future video plans, My Library and my Wild Flower Garden

good morning YouTube book this is Johnny this is a late Sunday morning it is June the 16th 2024 I’m down on the lower level and uh I I made that video last night of the Old Testament books on this shelf here and uh I don’t know the the the video is pretty Raw pretty uh pretty beat like spontaneous stream of Consciousness kind of uh trip but I think it was real which I always SE to do in my videos there’s no editing there’s no rehearsal There’s No Agenda I just try to be me and as you all know here is the lamp if you want to know what it looks like it’s pretty primitive but that’s what I like some of you mentioned you wanted to see New Testament books and that’s over here and I’ll show those in a future video these are all up here on the top shelf a lot of them are New Testament and I will show those in a future video but I don’t want to just make these uh videos showing My my my library my um books on the Bible because you’re all know I love all kinds of books I am a Christian I am a student of the Bible that’s what I am just because that’s if you’re a Christian if you’re not studying the Bible reading the Bible you’re not a Christian it’s just the way it is but what I want to do is I want to break up these videos and do uh other book books I have in my library like show you my voldman collection and my American transcendentalist collection and poetry collection which I’ve done over the years you’ve seen the lower level hasn’t really changed much and you know these are all books on music and biographies of artists and musicians and there know my Timothy lirry collection and my Anthony Bergers collection and my Elin Juan collection and Oscar wild and so there will be future videos but I do will get around to doing uh this shelf up here I want to do a videos on Paul and the Torah which I really want to do videos on and then do on different books of the Bible especially the New Testament as you know my wife and I were reading through the New Testament and I’ve done videos in the back room which is has lots of books you all know you’ve seen these see how dark it is in here and so it’s very difficult to make videos and cuz there’s little Corners it’s just very difficult to make videos in here but I’m going to experiment with that pole lamp and see if I can do like uh a Jim Harrison video or uh a rick Bass video or Norman maor or I think I many years ago I did a Joyce cor Joyce Carol oats video I don’t know if I’ve done a Mary Gordon or Virginia wolf but so I’ll start making more videos showing my my uh lower level I think it might work with this lamp it’s very primitive like I said but hey so yeah I will get around to doing a new testament because that’s predominantly what I focused on because as I mentioned in past there’s not that many good old Testament books there really isn’t most of the scholarship that is conservative and Evangelical is primarily in the New Testament that’s just the way it is but I also wanted to show you the flower garden as you all know that I keep a flower garden and I haven’t shown the backyard our backyard in a while so I thought you might like to see it I mowed the lawn yesterday I told you we got an electric mower so and uh there’s the flowers and we got uh this malberry tree right here and then we have a little Ren we put this up this year but there’s no been no Ren last year used to be a ren around here singing all the time and I thought if I put a video up it would show up but it hasn’t the flowers are start coming up these are you can see the flowers down here coming up see them on this bush and some of these are coming up honey suckles and then more Bush more bushes the Wild Roses are coming up and then you have the tiger lies are coming up but here is the wild flower garden nothing’s really come up yet at the wild flower garden I got late and I don’t know last year in June and may there were flowers and I don’t know it’s kind of late this year and I can’t figure out why but that’s my wild flower garden there’s no really wild flowers yet uh so I don’t really know what’s going to come up this year last year I was really surprised a lot of flowers came up that I didn’t know I had planted but so yeah I think that bush there is a sunflower a queen sunflower but I’m not sure I planted those last year but what happens is the rabbits come around and they eat them so I don’t know we’ll see what comes up this year so that’s the wild flower garden this is the backyard of our house we also have back here uh we call butterfly bushes see this is the back of our house but here are the butterfly bushes usually when these Bloom we get a lot of um what do you call them um I can’t remember what kind of flowers I mean not butterflies then we have a uh rose bushes and uh up there is the front yard see how you go up here and this is as you go up the this is the front of the house this is our neighborhood little flowers there yeah this is the neighborhood that we live in there’s no bombing no snipers this is the house that chair is where I sit in the evenings when it’s cool out to read and then there’s rose bushes over here my wife’s always cutting off the dead ones and then here’s the garbage so waste I’m always cutting weeds pulling weeds bird bath here’s the bird feeder there’s the flower garden go down the steps here there the tree kind of windy and warm out supposed to be in the ’90s today so yeah I sit back here and watch the birds so go back into the house [Music] so yeah I’ll get around to making more videos of the lower level now that I got some lighting uh that’s all inter testamental period commentaries yeah see I have these bookshelves here you can’t see anything I can put the pole lamp there let me see how it works let me see I don’t know if it’ll reach that far I don’t think it’ll reach that far see I got all these shelves these shelves are dark you can’t see anything I got my uh laptop out so I can type out the titles of the books instead of carrying them upstairs see this is what I see from my there’s the radi head poster see this is the lower level you’ve seen this over the years there’s the bird clock and you know penguin Classics as you all know I’ve been reading Nelson L green life on the Wilds Side by better Drew you know I’ve been reading women the New York school and other true abstractions by Maggie Nelson uh you know I’ve been reading the poetry of John ashberry reading the poems of Fran oare edited by Donald Allen also reading the Poetry of barber Barbara guess and uh you know I’ve been reading Philip Kerr other side of Silence Bernie gerter Thriller you know reading Harry Cruz The Knockout artist I haven’t started this yet things like that so that’s future plans about the videos uh this week my wife goes to a Gospel Coalition Conference for a couple of days and I’ll make some videos and yeah so yeah this was real see I can there’s all kinds of bookshelves and uh these are all new testament I’ll show all these in future videos but I like I said I’m a mood reader I make videos when I’m in the mood I don’t feel any pressure so I will uh keep doing it keep experimenting see I got books behind here that are dark you know books here books over there books here many years ago I did a video on this bookcase many years ago so this is the lower level videos there is the guardan of the library there’s history of Tom Jones by Henry filling filling uh uh just goes on Henry Miller Tropic of Cancer Movable Feast by Ernest Hemingway Hemingway in Paris these are all my Diaries in these boxes by year 1988 1987 1992 94 95 96 the rest are all in these plastic bins my Diaries and uh somebody I’ve been watching is really into the San Francisco poets and I thought about showing them this thing here hows wraps and Roars recordings from the San Francisco poetry Renaissance I’m I’m going to get this out and listen to it today well I’m going to close because I think I’m r rambling there’s Samuel Johnson collection trop Zary Hunter S Thompson Ginsburg kowak all the Beats Saul Billows John Updike Philip Roth just goes on and on so yeah this is the poll lamp maybe it a little work hope
