[Music] what up everybody it’s me mik out here at the urban Suburban Homestead and today I decided to choose violence okay yes I did chose violence out here in the garden we going to go ahead and take a look at what’s happening over here okay you know um I showed y’all last week in the other video about how the brassus was not doing too well so today I decided that we were going to pluck them all okay here we go b as you can see I pulled it all up so all these bags right here are now officially empty okay officially empty so yes definitely about to put those in the compost bin some big pieces are going to go in the big compost and then other pieces are going to go on the worm compost that we made the other week okay so that way you all can kind of see how that’s going and how everything is has broken down over the past couple of weeks uh we also have some more grow bags over here here that are empty that I pulled some uh cabbages out of let’s go ahead and take a look at some more things in the garden that is doing quite as well okay wow look at them pole beans they is definitely pulling just the way I wanted them to up the tomato trellis okay wow that right there we got some more okra coming in strong there let me tell you something I really did not like okra and I guess because that’s only only kind of okra I had was like some Church’s Chicken okra and I think I tried like some bold okra which is terrible but you know since we’ve been making it here at the house you know it’s been good not been tanned up so I actually bought some more seeds so we can get uh get some more okra plants okay you know what I’m saying cuz I definitely want some more Oprah uh Delvin loves it and we going to continue to grow it out here okay so here we go byow so yes got some more pepper plants now this is our longstanding pepper plant this is the very first one one and I pluck some of the old ones off and there she go now remember in the first video where I pulled it up pulled up the Tabasco plant where I planted the bell pepper and here we go they are sprouting up right now and that way you all can see that we are replenishing out here okay let y’all know that we is replenishing out here you know we ain’t just killing stuff and and ain’t putting it back or not it is going to be a bell pepper plan right there as you can see they is sprouting up as we speak okay so bye okay here we go so pleased to say that the Cali wonder is taking off but I’m really pleased to say that the scotch bonnets right here finally have some blooms on it and we’ve been waiting cuz Ries from seed got them off Amazon so we’re going to see what they are giving what they are giving and this right here is a cayenne pepper we got one on here one cayenne pepper also we got some Sano peppers they still trying to come through we do got some blooms oh look at that buddy there a little baby also our jalapeno peppers and also look at those Habano they are really taking off all right these are hot banana pepper right here as you can see we got one on there also some hot peppers here as well they taken off look at these right here these cow horns they are [Music] huge okay got nice jalapeno right there couple of them and I look at the bell peppers from Walmart baby yes they are doing good they are coming through now remember I put the five one one fish fertili in there and so this is kind of the result of that we getting some nice big bell peppers there and I’m just really excited about that okay so let’s get into the things okay fig tree we go yes fig is figging okay the Fig is figing and here we go remember these were just little starts of the week that’s the watermelon remember this is the cantaloupe right here okay and then we got the butternut squash there it’s taken off and then we got wow a cantaloupe there yes also the honey do is taking off as well as you can see this thing got big starting to attach on to the trellis and we did have a jubilee but it got disease so I decided to pluck it so we’re going to wait and see what what else happens here and then here we go we got a watermelon over here hopefully it’ll stay good and protect it oh no we got something on there get off of there oh no she got to go she got to go ma’am you’re getting off of there I’m sorry what okay and then we got another cantaloupe there listen he Ain had to go home but he had to get up off of there okay let me go ahead and tell you that he had to get up off of that so here we go we got to harvest these potatoes here the rose Mar is doing well right here and then we also have some more potatoes over here in the corner that are still coming up they got probably about another month on them and then here we go with the sweet potatoes back here that are bining all the way out and then let’s go ahead and look at the musine as you see has taken over the fence and doing its own thing so yeah the muscadine is musking Queen Palm is all up in my face like whoa okay all up in my face like whoa and um yeah so let’s look at some more things that we got going on out here in the garden I’m very pleased to say that I got the ginger from Publix and it is finally sprouting so here we go boom look at that right there yeah that Ginger coming on up and I had transplanted this spearmint the other week cuz it was dying and as you can see the peppermint is coming up as well got some more Ginger coming up right there from the root by that’s what I’m talking about some ginger coming in I’m so pleased with that and you know I talked all that crap about you know about the seeds and you know getting the stars from the store and all that right there well we ain’t playing no extra uh starts or whatever you know no no seedlings so I end up having to go get me some Bonnies and we going to see what they do we got a whole bunch of hybrid tomato plants about nine of them and we going to put them right back there in those empty ones that we took the brassus out of and here we go right here they sitting right here mhm a little bit of little water yeah trying to stay right trying to stay right so I’m definitely ready to get those into the ground because why I’m just you know want some more Tomatoes I’m not really pleased with the production out here Delvin and I and so we said let’s just plant some more we got some hybrids most of these that we got out here are heirlooms so we going to see if the hybrids will give us a much better yield much faster yield and some of the heirlooms are doing right now and you know that’s just what it is right there as you can see I am out here sweating babies child it’s about 96° I think the heat index is about 99 so there you go yeah zone 9 be Florida vow here we go so I’m going to show you so got some lemon balm here and I’m showing you all this because I want to get into the herbs all the things okay I want to get into the herbs of it all and you know we already got basil and stuff growing out here and you know real quick I’m going to show y’all the uh seedling they came up and how they coming up so yeah and that vine right there she done about had it so that’s why we went and wanted to get some more started out here but yeah definitely want to get into the herbs and um you know start making some you know tentures and also like some te’s and stuff so we’re going to start playing the herb garden right now we got basil and things out here you know the trio basil like the G and the Sweet Basil the Tha basil over purple opal you know so those kind of oh it smells so good oh my God it smells so good and then you know I want to get into like you know awag gandha and you know or plants like this that I grew from sea which is a tree here and so with the moranga tree you know I feel like this is something that everybody should have in their diet because it is you know basically the tree of life is what I would call it’s like anti- everything it’s anti also anti-depressive anti- tumor anti-cancer you know um it’s good for people that have diabetes uh to help with their insulin people can use it to be able to you know control their diabetes their blood sugar also lower their cholesterol and so you know whenever you take those things into account you know you want to have these natural medicines in your cabinet and in your garden so that you can be able to Harvest these things and be able to make your own medicines because a lot of the things that we have on the counters that we get from prescription and over the counter I’m sorry um is derived from a lot of these plant-based uh things that we can grow right out here in our garden so that’s what delin and I are going to try to get into we definitely have some um more videos on that in the upcoming future and uh yeah that’s that right there I’m going go ahead and show y’all some things that kind of went ham over at Lowe’s and these some of the things they got purchased all right so here we go so I got some eonia right here as you can see this is a eanaia plant and it is a Cayenne Spirit cone flower it’s a perennial which means it’ll come back every year here’s a discounted plant a double knockout rose bush so I got this for about $7 we’re going to see can we nurse this back to he this was already had this is just some chocolate mint that needs to be replanted to something else because it’s an outr is you know it’s a risone so with it being a RIS on it definitely Bears Roots wherever it lays down at so you can actually put these things on a rock on top of it and Roots will start to form and you can actually transplant it later okay and then here we go right here we got more potatoes yes they got some red potatoes and things also some onions we going to plant I thought these some yellow onions but these are shallots um but we going to get these in the grounds too um also I got an Italian blend here also got a gourmet Green Mix of uh like salad mix there got some lavender herb also some catnip and we want to grow some more okra here okay also got another blueberry what we already have is a jersey blueberry and a pink lemonade but we’re going to try this climax blueberry okay and then I end up getting some discounted plants as you can see with the red little Mart through it over at lows these were $4 some B bright pen and so yeah so yeah that’s what we got going on out here definitely going to uh show y’all what we got happening in the future I’m definitely want to show you all what we do with the tomatoes so that’s going to be in a whole another video probably plant the onions with that so we can have some cion planting because we know the onions can help deter some of the pest and we want our tomatoes to be uh you know pest free so we can have some nice good ones juicy ones okay and um yeah we’re going to go from there definitely going to keep you up to date on the herb garden because that will be coming up in the near future because I have the seeds that are coming in I already have some here so we can do it kind of In Like A Part series okay um just know that me and Delvin love you all love you all if you have not hit that like share and subscribe button and we you know just thank you all for tuning in to the urban Suburban Homestead all right bye

  1. Happy gardening! Medicinal garden-consider lemongrass, pineapple sage, stevia, anise hyssop (bees love them)

  2. It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Keep up the good work. Continue to do your best, let nothing stop you. Everything look to be doing great. I really enjoy what I am seeing. All the best on this journey.

  3. I love your videos. May I offer a suggestion! Don't use too much fish fertilizer, it will give you more leafy green than fruit. Use some fertilizer like agrothrive for flowering plants and some bone meal. Also let one of your okra grow big and dry out. You can use those seeds for free. Also look for free seeds from seed trade.
