Got a couple pieces of aloe from a friend to propogate before realizing it's apparently not possible. Already calloused and thinking I may put it in soil anyways to see what happens… What do yall think? Hoping maybe it is cut down far enough that it'll work? If you do think it could work, do I put it in dry soil to start? Do I wait to water it? When I do water, how much?

Aloe does not propagate by leaf. Harvest the aloe and/or compost. You need stem and this has no stem.
