12:00 on the dot that’s the perfect time to start your work for the week G it poured all night long into the morning it stopped and now it’s so scorching scorching it’s all drying up but the ground is still saturated well the concrete looks good I’m going to trim these bushes cuz I can do that I can do that when it’s super wet see if there’s water on them oh yeah lots of water at all that water so those are barberry bushes they are very sticky they have little spiky Thorns all over them can you see them I’m actually touching one right now they will get you good I’m going to trim these I’m not sure what they are maybe I’ll text um Keith kelus and ask him what I’m working with here send him a picture he’s good like that he’ll know he’ll give me some cool he’ll probably send me back a picture of some of his work trim it like this [Music] yeah there goes the motorcycle Maniac all right let’s get this party started so when I run into a couple wild mongrels like this I usually just start at the bottom I go all the way around it to see what I’m working with is it one Bush two or three after you go around it a little bit trim off the bottom you’ll know what you’re working with and you have a better perspective of the size of the Bush if I would have just jumped on the top and started cutting it down I could potentially cut a low spot in it and mess it all up and never be able to even it out correctly now once I did see that what I’m working with here and I start on the top I noticed that this bush here is bigger than the one on the right so my goal is to make them both similar you shapes and um similar size too so I’m kind of um I’m starting with this one first cuz like I said it has more to work with let me show you something see how these are all grown into each other like they’re all grown into each other probably so it wouldn’t look right if you actually um separated each one right now and this one is its own thing here and it’s kind of cut this one kind of in half pretty much that looks like a separate one right here and this is its own right here too so really just to keep the the flow you I’m was going to kind of try and make it all one big one because um it would look kind of gapped out you know like chunks missing I don’t know I’m not great at explaining myself hey hey I just cut grass once I started back on it I quickly realized no they will look better if I do separate them so that’s what I started doing was um cutting into it and getting some separation but I knew right off the bat that they could not both be round because that that piece is missing from one growing into the other actually the little bush in the front is growing in Jump too so that little one is going to be round and the other two are going to be their own shapes but they’re going to be the same shapes so that was my goal and only way to do it was to take a little bit here a little bit there go all around upside down and it just sort of works out you know you don’t want to take a whole lot off each swipe because you can’t put it back on you know you you get take off a little bit too much then you got to make the whole thing smaller and smaller and eventually you run out of stuff to work with all right but there you go you can see you’re just going up and down and all around I had a little trouble because I you know I had to be ler of these I had to be careful I didn’t want to you know just chop into them that one was um not as thick over there had like a little spot where if you trimmed off the little wild stuff on top it smaller so that meant eventually I was going to have to make the other side a little bit smaller too all right that’s just the first wave of many I can tell already this is going to take more than a couple of minutes got to wait for the Lawns to dry out anyway I actually got some separation I went ahead and did it you can see how it it’s dead from where they were just grown into each other but they’re separated now we’ll do the walk around look at all the clippings I’m going to have to I’m going to blow it all off and get all this stuff out of here and then I’ll have to touch up a few little Sprouts that pop up but for the most part big Improvement huh huh not bad for just a regular little lawn freak yeah yeah not bad I don’t know what I’m doing I know these are barberry bushes you go red Barberry purple Barberry there’s all different you know whatever the color is that’s what it is but when you take the color off and you trim it down down to the green see if I cut all these little red pieces off it’d be uneven though you can’t get down in there so just shape them up looks pretty good all right we cut this yard let’s feel it this is dry Boulevard’s still wet but hey it is what it is you need to drink water all right I’m done I’m done with the bushes that’s too much fun let me show you one more thing about cutting after a rain so it’s dry you’re ready to go the ground is saturated I had to take the 36 off of the trailer so I might as well just jump on it and go right no I not even going to take the chance I’m going to do it the hard way I got the 21 in off and I could still feel it sinking even right here on the boulevard so this is not I’m not just going to prep it and outline it to 21 I’m actually going to mow it and why you see with the 21 it still is leaving little mud Stripes because look when I trimmed I had to go along here it’s all just soak and wet Tires Plus I blew all that stuff out from when after I trimmed the bushes I blew it all out here now I might as well bag it too but um I do not want to even just leave like one tire right there with the 36 or the 48 would definitely sink in it’s pretty darn heavy you know let me come over here where they’ve drove up in here with their car before and it’s down there and that you know big mower tear that stuff up so if you got the time which you should have the time just be happy you’re getting something done in a rain or right after a rain you know it will tear the yard up if you use the wrong piece of equipment so just be happy you’re getting one or two off the list and trim some bushes things like that that’s what I do okay just happy I got something done there are your 21in stripes look at that don’t be scared there are the bushes that’s some separation time to blow it off collect and roll all right freak’s still battling the wet Lawns but they’re actually kind of dry it’s just the surrounding areas that are messed up still got to blow it off but I thought I’d show you this they’re having construction down here I think they’re having um it’s not a deck they took the deck out they’re having like an extension like another room added to their house look so what I did was I just did the front yard I didn’t do any of this I’m going to let it go until um you know I have to have to do something back here look at that that that’s some freaky scene take a picture of that so everything’s all stacked up I just got to cut a limb out of the way and obviously it was too wet for whoa I slid I slid on a big pile of mud it’s too wet for the landscaping company or the home builder or whatever they are construction company to actually do their thing and um let me get out of the sun here when you when you get up to about 50 yards or more but once you get about 50 yards you go through the whole season you’re going to have a lot of little obstacles to work around somewhere along the line people will have a roof put on siding a new fence a pool a deck another room something sidewalks driveways there will always be some wacky stuff happening you’re going to have to kind of work around it and makeshift like right now I’m just going to do the front yard you know every week and then if it gets out of hand I go back there kind of weed eat the area or something and then um so what do I charge so if it’s a $30 yard you got to charge 15 you know now if it’s a Oddball number say like 25 or 35 you said W just charge at 10 for the front then that means um you know well I guess that wouldn’t be okay that wouldn’t really matter cuz then you be say 15 for the back but then you got to worry that in the future they might be like um well he only charges us an extra 15 for the back why don’t we just have him do that every other time just come by and do the front every time every week for us and do the the whole thing every other time I’ve had stuff like that before and you don’t want to shoot yourself in the foot cuz then you’re going to go back and deal with a um twot tall backyard and only get an extra 15 bucks and then you have to show up every week for the front yard and you’re only getting like 10 bucks or something that would suck and when they do construction you’ll see where they run across you know and sink all that down now if they don’t put that back which I doubt they’ll even put that back I’ll have to go get a little bit of dirt now what would I do about a little pile of dirt like that I would um I would just go get some Walmart dirt go buy one of them bags at Walmart some Scotch dirt or whatever you know you can have like rough it up and dig it up and kind of pour it in there and Tamp it down a little bit and you’re set throw some grass seed crab grassy girl in there just fine just fine I’m going to lock that gate up here if you want to call it a gate so yeah there’s always something freaky going on all right not sure if I’ve showed you this yard or not I think I might have filmed it but was too windy that guy’s got a wheelbarrow over there he’s scoping up stuff out of the parking lot get some dude on a Ry mower anyway check the sky out there is the sun behind the clouds but the cloud is just right over top of it see the blue skies it goes all the way around like a ring the blue sky with this cloud we used to have a lot of these I mean a few years ago and then I haven’t seen them for you know 5 years and now that’s the only type of rain we get they’re just one giant cloud and you you feel like a drop it’s just like pouring was like a 3 minute pour and then it’s gone but everything is just soaked and they’re just like one right after another after another and then all a sudden you’ll get like an hour long one but then it comes right out with a scorching sun right afterward freaky another thing about this yard is it’s one of the rare ones that I pull in the driveway cuz look how huge the driveway is I can pull in here and they can still get around and the reason I do it is because that is a deadly Street to park on or I my option would be parked three houses down around the corner and then I would get ripped off or walking back and forth for stuff so you don’t want to do that anyway when I took over this yard the landscape was like all jacked up they’re home I don’t want to walk over there that’s thought I heard them coming out see it’s always so weird for me people when I’m filming at a house they don’t normally film it so the landscape was all in Grown you know grown up in there so I’ve sprayed it but it’s still like there but it’s dead but it’s still in there so who big head big head toding the monsters so there you go that’s what you do you stay underneath the black cloud and you get you work done don’t park on the street if you don’t have to that guy’s working harder than that is that sure what’s happening here but we’re about to find out oh this is cool see what it is it’s a torch run that was a Homeland Security um freaking RV oh very scary stuff oh I see some of you freaks out there with your usernames uh-huh oh don’t think I don’t notice these things all right one more thing before we wrap this up I’m sweating everywhere even my butt cheeks are sweating so anyway don’t mind that I’m just playing around up there right now all right just playing don’t get All Shook Up I’ll show you what I’m talking about by uneven sidewalks in the old part of town you’re going to Edge it right you’re going to keep Groove and your groove you’re going to go along boom what do you got going on this is shifted over here this is over here that’s the concrete there’s the Skywalk all right well let’s just follow that along oh no it went back and it continues on little spot right here and there little imperfections like that what you have to do is whatever you want to do whatever you can do make the best of a funky situation that’s what I’m doing up here in the landscape right now I’m making the best of a funky situation [Music] [Applause] [Music]
