Do I need to cut the flowers?

I know that obviously these plants use a lot of energy to flower and I see people tell Venus fly trap owners to cut it or it will kill the plant. I was hoping some seeds would come but I would rather have a good plant if this flower stalk will kill it. Any advice is very appreciated.
