Could your carbon filter be damaged and these are coming from that? Look like the polished carbon from an air filter to me

Plastic filler. Stuffed animals have em, or charcoal, the pre filter kind.

It’s part of the bacteria package that they send you to start the compost. They will gradually decay over time releasing more bacteria and maintaining the good composting microbiome. 👍🏻

Are you composting anything from a barn or processing area? These look like the plastic bristles of a stall mat or sani-mat that are used to give grip under possibly slippery conditions. Do they feel like dry rotted rubber?
