Plant Clinic

I am in dire need of advice.

This plant holds very sentiment with the wife. It was a plant beside her mother at the viewing. Was one of her mothers favorite plants. It has lived indoors for better part of 5+ years. I took outside in an attempt to resuscitate with natural air and sunshine. Nj got hit by massive heatwave.

I am not sure what plant it is, how to save it, nor to care for going forward. Please help. TIA. Lately have been watering daily, mostly evening. It gets mostly am sunlight.

This is 2 different plants in one planter. The pink striped plant is a prayer plant and they do not want direct sunlight.
Move this back inside into a bright room without direct sunlight and let the soil dry out between watering.
I would probably trim all of the dead leaves up, but you don’t have to. Just get it back inside and out of the sun.

These two plants have very different watering needs and need to not be in the same pot together. The corn plant can basically dry out entirely between waterings, The prayer plant needs to be watered more often. Having them together means you are going to over water one or underwater the other.
