First year progression on Thuja

Got this sun scorched thuja occidentalis rheingold last summer from a local nursery. I was intrigued by the small pointy bright foliage and after taking it home I realized it had a pretty good size to it. I started by basically just removing all the burnt dead foliage. The top of the bush was mostly dead so I stripped it down leaving the deadwood peak. I call it my one tree forest. It has some styling left to be done but it’s become one of my favorites of my collection so far.

That’s fantastic! Why can’t I think creatively like this!
