Got a lot of these bugs in and around my compost in South East Asia. What are they? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks! by PeanutSesame919 composting 1 Comment Beardo88 4 weeks ago Looks like fruit flys, Drosophila species. They are attracted to the fungus and sugars from rotting fruit and vegetables. The larva (maggots) are eating bits of your compost. They are natural, not harmful.Write A CommentYou must be logged in to post a comment.
